HONEST AND UNBIASED REVIEW!!!!
So i am an Avid Fisherman and i've always just layered clothing in the winter months. I'm in South Carolina so this review is based on my climate with isn't nearly as cold/snowy as other areas. Anyway, when I do fish in the winter months it is typically around 35 degrees or so when i go in the mornings. I would always just layer clothing but i have always bought top brand clothing (North Face, Patagonia, Mtn Hardwear, etc) so enough layers of those and you can stay warm and dry. So i am at the point where i can afford a NICE fishing coat and i was looking at the AFTCO Hydronaut. I read review after review and just before pulling the trigger on that $250 jacket i decided to read reviews on some of the other jackets out there. I actually found an article that listed the top 10 fishing jackets and this jacket was on the list ahead of the AFTCO. So i went on Amazon and checked it out. For the price difference and Amazons incredibly easy return system i decided what the heck, if it's a cheap jacket i'll return it easily and all is well and good. So this jacket arrives and i'm eager to check it out. Right out of the box i am skeptical but excited because this appears to be very nice. So i get it out and slap that bad boy on..... WhooooooooWeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! Lemme tell ya, i've spent $300 on nice jackets and this bad boy felt like i just slipped into a Lamborghini (sp). I am not joking!! As you can see, it was slightly big on me but the adjustable draw strings helped with that. Plus, even though it looks a bit bulky on the outside it doesn't feel bulky on you. One of the biggest complaints i saw on here were the zippers and stitching. The zippers look to be of equal or better quality than i have on any other jacket. The stitching all looked fine. Most of all this thing just felt great!! I have worn it out skeet shooting in 40 degree weather and it was warm on me. I will say that i wouldn't trust it to stand in a downright downpour for hours on end but i do feel like it will keep you dry for a while. For this cost point, this jacket is WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY. Those negative reviewers either expect a $800 arctic coat or had a defect (that does happen). I am 5'11 and weigh 170 lbs. This is a large. Buy it, you'll be glad you did!!!

BUY IT NOW or YOU LOSE!!
What a number one jacket for the price... HOLLY COW!!! It fit me like a glove and produced items I thought were never available for this price of jacket! One packet is on the inside of that coat and a rather good sized one at that. Three packages on the outside of the coldk three packages on the outside of the Coat/Jacket. Two large package where are you at expect your hands to fit in one good size pocket on the left upper side of your chest which is ideal for your cell phone! When you stick your hands into the sleeves there is actually a extended piece of material that you put your thumb through Separately with your fingers going through the other opening to keep the jacket tight and tight around your wrist. To top that off, you can adjust both ends of your sleeve with Velcro clasp tighteners to keep out in the wind. I put my gloves on and then adjusted those strap and no air what so ever went up my arms. At the bottom of the coat there are snaps you can attach any ski pants too. Also you can tighten up the bottom of your jacket tight against your buddy with the heavy duty strap. Even though it was not made in America it sure fooled me! If you don’t but is this coat/jacket You have missed out on one great piece of clothing! It is warm and rain proof to top it off.Buy it now!

Pretty nice for the money
I started delivering pizza a few months ago and had to rethink my cold weather outfit. Going in and out from a warm restaurant/ car to freezing temps in snow makes it difficult to dress appropriately. I needed a coat that would be windproof and warm that I could put in and take off quickly and easily. I shopped on here for a good hour or two before landing on this one, and I’m glad I did. All of the pockets are nice and well placed, aside from the mesh pocket that I’m unsure of how useful it will be. Seems too big to securely hold anything. It ran a bit larger than I was hoping, but it has cinch cords around the waist and hood so you can get all the areas that let air in completely closed off. I love the thumb holes on the sleeve cuffs, they’re a great touch that will remove the need for gloves unless it’s like the blizzard we just had 12/24/22. it does seem like the thumb holes may only function with thinner or light gloves. But if you have extra heavy or ski gloves on, I doubt the thumb holes will be of much use anyway. One issue with the material/ construction that I’ll be weary about is the fabric ripping around the Velcro at the end of the sleeve. I’m sure that if it gets pulled by the fabric and not the Velcro it will tear. Like the Velcro is slightly stronger than the max force necessary to tear the fabric. The fleece lining is very, very soft and warm, and I love that the hood is lined with the same fleece. I would absolutely recommend this coat to anyone that wants to be warm when the weather is complete ISH!
