I bought this as a quick-to-set-up alternative to my caged rig, so that I could mount my monitor - a fairly weighty Atomos Ninja V - straight to the hot shoe of my Sony A7S III for run and gun jobs. My first concern before buying was how secure and trustworthy this would be holding the screen - and I have to say that after just one use I knew I could rely on this. It grips naturally yet very firmly to the cold shoe - it doesn't feel like it's causing damage or stress to the hot shoe just by being attached. My second concern would be how well it grips the screen - well, it has locator pins as well as the screw thread, so it attaches and unattached super easy, stays lined up, and again feels solid and very trustworthy. My third concern was how easy it was to adjust one attached, as I have another variant on my full cage rig, as that is a slow adjuster that needs a tool to do so, not great for on the fly adjustments. Not the case with this one - easy, no tool needed and locks incredibly solidly. These smallrig items are always worth the cost over lesser items in my experience. Recommended.

Always reluctant to leave reviews, because at the time of purchase or a few months after. Everything is great... then stops working etc in my experience. I have bought several cheaper cold shoe mounts over the years and they were garbage! The Smallrig mount initially looks like a lot of money for a mount but trust me it's actually cheaper in the long run. It secures to the camera, or any hotshoe TIGHTLY without loosening, falling off with anything attached to it, or coming to pieces in your hands after a few uses. I now have a few things from Smallrig. They are starting to be my 'Go to' company for all my videography accessory needs.

Well made item. Tilt lock works with handle but the pan/rotate needs an Allen wrench to adjust it and seems to come loose often. So although it has a handle you still need to have the wrench with when on a shoot to adjust rotate, which sort of defeats the object of having a handle. So you might as well buy a cheaper lighter unit which needs allen wrench for both axis. Tilt is also too stiff and lock handle is either on or off.

Bought to replace stock ports keys mount. It is sooo much better! Really sturdy!

sehr guter Swievel die Drehfunktion ist etwas schwergängig kann aber über Innensechskanntschraube eingestellt werden, die Neigung geht butterweich mit Möglichkeit zur Arretierung die Ausführung ist typisch hochwertig, wie alles von Smallrig. für 6-7 " Kontrollmonitore ziehe ich aber den Adapter ,der auf den Cage geschraubt werden kann vor. nicht wegen der Einstellmöglichkeit, sondern die Befestigung am Cage oder Griff ist stabiler als die meisten Blitzschuh Anschlüsse auf den Cameras

Rispetto ad accessori analoghi più economici questo è su un altro livello. Versatile, robusto e ben realizzato. Sono incluse chiavi per montarlo e smontarlo, in particolare per ottenere un serraggio sicuro.

Ho recentemente acquistato il supporto per monitor della Smallrig su Amazon e posso dire di essere molto soddisfatto della mia scelta. L'ho comprato con uno sconto Amazon e devo dire che, rispetto ad altri modelli più economici, la qualità si nota già al tatto. Il supporto si dimostra funzionale e robusto, perfetto per monitor esterni, faretti o microfoni. Grazie alla manopola posta sul lato, è possibile stringere e allentare il supporto in un attimo, rendendolo veramente comodo rispetto alla versione precedente. Una volta ben serrata, la chiave a farfalla laterale garantisce stabilità anche per monitor da 7" con battery pack tipo Sony Np-f 970. Inoltre, il prodotto si rivela versatile e comodissimo da usare, anche per altri utilizzi come pannelli LED per illuminare la scena durante le riprese video. Nonostante la "complessità" degli snodi, il materiale è di buona qualità e decisamente stabile. Tuttavia, devo segnalare qualche piccola pecca: la vite tende a far ruotare leggermente l’Atomos quando si stringe troppo e la brugola per orientare uno dei giunti è separata, rischiando di perderla. Sarebbe meglio avere una vite con pomello incorporato. Inoltre, al momento dell'acquisto era specificato che avrei ricevuto un secondo componente gratuitamente, incluso in una sorta di offerta, ma questo componente non è mai arrivato. Nonostante questi piccoli inconvenienti, il prodotto Smallrig svolge bene il suo lavoro e il rapporto qualità-prezzo risulta equilibrato. La consegna è stata puntuale, come sempre. In conclusione, consiglio l'acquisto di questo supporto per monitor Smallrig, ma solo se non si hanno aspettative eccessivamente alte.
