Porcelain Butterfly & Dragonfly Teapot Trimmed In Gold

This teapot looks even better than in the photos. The lovely designs of flowers, dragonflies and bees is whimsical and charming with gentle gold trim that finishes off the piece and gives it extra beauty and form. It comes in a sturdy blue box (that will remind you a bit of a Tiffany brand blue) with a pretty satin lining. I ordered this teapot twice, once for myself and once for a friend, and both times the item was carefully packed and sent quickly and securely. I think I get about six cups of tea from this, maybe a bit more. It's beautiful, but not ultra delicate, so you won't feel guilty about taking it out to use just for yourself. I am very happy with the purchase and the packaging it came in--which I have kept for storage (the box is just that pretty.)

I am so excited to use this lovely little teapot with my grandchildren! It is just as beautiful as pictured, although my teapot has no butterflies, but 4 delightful dragonflies and a ladybug. The cream colored background blends perfectly with the intricately detailed insects, leaves and flowers. Most of the painted designs even have little gold accents to match the gold trim on the edges of the pot. I like the way that they have continued the flowers under the curve of the teapot so that they are visible when tipping up the pot to pour the tea. Another nice feature is the notched lid that will not fall off when little ones (or Grandma!) pour tea. It is a delicate item, and not good for unsupervised use by small children. It is not a childish-looking design either, but would be just as well suited to use for an elegant grown-up tea service. I am thrilled with my purchase, just wish there were other matching pieces.

The teapot is even more adorable in person! Mine had both butterflies and dragonflies and the touch of gold on the wings really add to the overall feel of the item. Definitely worth the price, I feel like I got a steal. The handles are on straight and the lids fits perfectly. Comes in a giftable box with padded interior. I’m passing on the baton of hosting tea parties to my niece. She will be delighted to receive this teapot along with the set of cups I bought from Amazon.

Wow! This must have been one of my best purchases on amazon yet! I ordered this teapot for my mother's birthday as my sister broke the other two we had. I have not given it to her yet, but I am sure that she will love it! It is smaller than I expected, but good enough for up to three people, which is a sizable amount. The teapot itself is beautifully designed, and unlike some of the other reviewers mine came with an abundance of pictures/designs. However, the most impressive thing about this seller was the shipping. I ordered it only a couple of days before my mother's birthday and I thought that it would come way later and that I would have to give her a "late" present. My hopes diminished even more when I realized that it was shipping with USPS, a generally slow carrier. However, the teapot actually arrived within 2 days of me ordering it, with standard shipping! The seller shipped the teapot almost immediately after I ordered it. Overall, I am very happy! I would buy both this teapot and from this seller again!

Appearance: The gold trim is not cheap-looking, the ceramic is thick and heavy and seems solid. For those complaining that what they received wasn't what was pictured, mine came exactly as pictured. I had one butterfly, two dragonflies, two ladybugs, a bumblebee on the lid, and countless flowers.Function: It holds heat well, for about an hour or two, and has grooves for the lid so that when you pour the lid doesn't slip. There are holes arranged at the base of the spout so that leaves do not pour out into your teacup. I use a strainer so this isn't an issue, but it's still a very good feature that surprised me. The knob on the lid is just the right size for me to hang my strainer hook from.Bottom line: Overall if you are looking for a teapot that looks great and has nice features, this is the one.

I collect teapots and received this teapot as a birthday gift from my daughter and was absolutely thrilled with it! I planned on giving 5 stars but here's why I changed my mind. 1) I saw the picture and "title" of what she thought she ordered. My pot does not have dragonflies or bees on it. Only butterflies and flowers with a ladybug on the lid, which is adorable! If you are going to list an item specifically as a "Butterfly and Dragonfly Teapot" then it should certainly have both on Every pot! Had I known ahead of time I would have been extremely disappointed! 2) The photo shows a bright white pot which is also inaccurate. It is an off white or cream colored pot and since it doesn't show in the picture should be clarified in description. Again disappointing for my daughter who thought it would match my new white china.On the positive side: It holds a full 32 oz. without teabags so is a good size although it appears smaller. Has a nice pour, no dribbling or splashing. Of course it transfers heat when filled, but handle is large enough your knuckles won't get burned. The satin lined and padded box it came in makes a beautiful presentation and served to keep the piece safe in shipping which was prompt. Received it within 2 days with Prime. All in all I really love this pot! I think it's lovely and while it doesn't match the china, it does match my favorite cup purchased at the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls Ca. when my girls were just babies which makes it special to me!

this is the cutest teapot i’ve ever seen. perfect for one or two people, i made a pot of tea and was able to get about 5-6 full teacups of tea out of it! pours really nicely as well, the spout makes it so that it won’t dribble down the pot when you’re pouring. it also has a safety lid to prevent it from falling when you’re pouring. came packaged very well and safely. would absolutely buy again!
