For Chess lovers it is a must. Great games analized in detail.
This book is extremely interesting because of the games the great masters played and these are discussed in detail. It is fun and educational for chess enthusiast whether an average player or an advanced one: there is always that move that takes one by surprise as was often the with the (in)famous genius called Bobby Fisher ! The four stars instead of five is due to the date of publication....every year counts !

Great - maybe vital - to have in your collection
This is a nice collection of chess games, that cover so many ideas; the annotation is clear and well written. A good thing about a collection of chess games like this is, you could start looking at some of the games on day 1 or 2 of starting to learn to play the game and get something, and then when you are 5 years down the road you can look at the same game and still learn. I actually like to have a physical chess board and put the moves on that; having an app or computer program is good too - one little tip though is to get to certain stages of each game, cover the text, and think about your top 3 (or maybe 5 moves) and then see if you could see the correct continuation - and then maybe check with an engine to see if your moves were among the machine's candidate moves.

Great chess book even better if used on a tablet with split screen.
If you have a tablet which can use split screen mode put kindle book on one side and Droidfish on the other. Then you can step through the variations and read the annotations. I have tried this on galaxy tab 2 and tab a7 but I am sure there are other tablets that can use split screen. The book starts with the older greats and points out why a modern master would not choose the same moves. Going in to the variations explains how a plausible move can cause a disaster and gives reasons. Informative and entertaining. A great chess book at a great price even if also buying a tablet to use as described.

A book with something for everybody.
Like most chess players I have a lot of chess books, but this is one of my firm favorites, if I was to be abandoned on a desert island with just one chess book, this would be the one. This book covers a wide variety of chess topics, including sections on delivering mate, tactics, combinations, endgames, attack and defense, endgame studies, and lots of openings. Well written and nicely illustrated, this book is well suited to club players, although it really is a book with something for all chess fans.
