LEDs for all my ceiling fans
I have been changing my entire house lighting over to LEDs. I have been searching for a candelabra base bulb for use in my ceiling fans. Each fan requires 3 to 4 bulbs. Most options for these cost between 7 and 10 dollars per bulb. These bulbs work great in all my ceiling fans casting more quality light then I was getting from the original incandescent bulbs or the CFLs I had tried to use. From the seller I bought these from, at $2.50 per bulb, these were an incredible find and buy. I would highly recommend. I have since bought more of them to complete the changeover for all my ceiling fans. For a long time I was furious that so many of the newer ceiling fans use candelabra base bulbs. Then I found out that the reason was that to get an energy star rating, the ceiling fan manufactures could not use the old A standard base bulbs. I had at one point considered changing out the bulb sockets in my ceiling fans so that I could use less expensive LED bulbs. Then I found these.

Great until they just start flickering
These bulbs just don't last. They look great, but after only a couple years of light residential use, they start to flicker. So much for "long lasting" LED bulbs. With junk like this, I'm better off with incandescent.

Quality is there but not recommended in shaded or enclosed lights
These seem like good quality but they are very long bulbs. If you have any kind of shade near the tip of the bulbs you'll probably see hot spots. I attached sample photos of our fan where there was enough space but the bright spots were awful in a fixture where the glass is close to the bulb tip.I removed these from the fan and moved them to some table lamps (using E26 medium base to E12 candle base adapters). Overall conclusions there are these bulbs leave a dark dot on the ceiling above the lamp.About the only place I can see these making sense is in a multi-bulb fixture such as a big chandelier in a foyer where the overlap of light would minimize those dark areas out the tip of each bulb.Beyond the above, the bulbs seem to dim well, and seem to have a color temperature that's as advertised. If you're like me and wanting something similar to a traditional incandescent look, consider these:

These are not the bulbs you are looking for...
Cree usually makes good stuff and I made a leap of faith purchasing the 9 pack sight unseen. There are some things I like about these bulbs: They don't flicker, the color is good, and Cree is not a fly by night no-name company. But (and this is a big one), the quality of the light just isn't there. The light is concentrated into the central column and mostly is emitted out the tip of the bulb. The lighting is therefore significantly uneven, with a 4 light fixture projecting a very noticeable doughnut shaped hot spot complete with a pronounced dark "hole" in the center. Predictably with the majority of the light emitted from the tip of the bulb, the output from the sides and out to the walls are much too dim. It's almost like it behaves as a 60 watt bulb in one specific direction but a 25 watt bulb out the sides. Thinking these might work better in a ceiling fan (where the lights are at an angle rather than vertical), the light was still extremely uneven but also glary, harsh, and with crisp deep shadows. Very disappointed!

Great product
Bulb looks great. Cut out and dated UPC code for warranty. Cree continues to be my go-to led light manufacturer. Can't beat the price and quality.

Cree is the only way to go for lighting
Excellent lights, very clear and better lighting from my fans now. I didn't even turn them on before but now I can see much better with the Cree lights. I am using them now and it costs almost nothing compared to conventional lights. I am converting all my lighting to Cree. These lights will pay for themselves with my usage in 1 to 1.5 yrs. Not bad since they last almost forever when compared again to the other light options. Little more up front but worth it in quality lighting and cost savings in the end. Just do it, you won't be sorry!

Did not last
I purchased this product a little less than two years ago. Three of the nine bulbs are already dead. They were advertised as LONG lasting........NOT!

The base still gets quite hot like an incandescent light
The base still gets quite hot like an incandescent light. I'm wondering if it's really as power efficient as they say, or if they are not including power lost in the circuits, only the power use of the LED.
