Great for Chilling Wort with an Immersion Chiller
This has been a great addition to my homebrewing equipment. I connect to my HomeBrewStuff 25' Copper Immersion Wort Chiller - Deluxe Package with 2x 12' Hoses, Fittings, and Faucet Adapter , submerge the pump in a cooler full of ice water, and have the chiller water return dump back into the cooler at the opposite end. Invaluable in the Georgia heat when trying to cool wort to 80F or less. The pump itself seems to be quite durable as it has had several knocks and drops by yours truly and it just keeps on chugging along, never missing a beat. It even comes with several different outlet fitting sizes and shapes to fit various needs. Even though the fittings are all plastic, they have held up very well to the aforementioned drops and ice water. If I ever have to order another pump, I may step up to the next size for a little more flow, but with the way this one has performed, I'm not sure I'll need to buy another anytime soon.Could it be better? Of course, but what can't you improve on? Even as close to perfect as I am (sarcasm), my wife would surely make an improvement or two... It could have an on/off switch so I can control operation at the pump instead of having to plug/unplug from the wall/extension cord. And you know, I think that might be the only improvement I would make.Nothing but praise for this thing, especially at the price point.

Good Pump
It is a strong pump and comes with a few different sized fittings for the output. It does however say on the side if the pump that it's rated at like 150 GPH not 185. I don't know much about water pump ratings though. I know it works well for my purpose.

Whisper Quiet, Economical, Reliable
Posted Spring 2014I bought this pump a few weeks ago. Bought an 80 year old house that has 2 ponds (one about 1200 gallons, the other 1900 gallons). This pump I bought to drain each pond so I could muck it. It drained the 1900 gallon pond in a little over 2 days (meaning it was only pumping about 40 GPH). Had to buy a different attachment to hook it up to my garden hose, but it did the job just fine. This summer, I will use the pump to water my vegetable garden directly out of the pond.BEAR IN MIND: Max Gallons Per Hour listed depend on many many variables (vertical feet it has to climb, number of bends, diameter of tubing, etc).Side note, if you have decent to large sized ponds AND you garden, drain your pond, muck it, and put the muck in your garden, it is AMAZING natural fertilizer.Update May 2015 - This product is still going strong and has done a great job for me in the following capacities:1) Moving water from one of my ponds to the other.2) Adding air quality to my ponds for my fish3) Watering my gardens out of my ponds.4) Draining my ponds.Great product!

Thumbs up for this pump!
EcoPlus 185 Submersible Pump, 158 GPH My husband has a greenhouse and spends a great deal of time on his flowers. They get a special diet of fertilizers and supplements, and most of those are mixed into their water, which has to circulate to stay oxygenated and fresh, and to distribute their supplements evenly. It's a 20-gallon container. He uses a submersible pump to keep the water moving, and his last one was about twice as expensive as this one, so he was thrilled to find a bargain here on Amazon! It arrived quickly, and worked perfectly right out of the box. It's got little rubber sucker feet to attach it into the water tank, and works fairly quietly. If you need a submersible pump, this is a great one to get!

Reliable
Purchased this pump due to it being the cheapest option with a ground. Water and electricity do not mix.... This pump has been running without issue/fail for several months in my hydroponic system. For the price and what you get, it’s worth it. I bought a total of 3 now.

Good for common or exotic projects
Pros: Mine pumps 1 gallon in 80 seconds at just over 2 feet of lift. This is an excellent pump for common or exotic projects, puts out an regular flow even when the durable sponge like filter is clogged full of slime. Makes no unearthly noise, can rarely be heard over the trickle of water at a distance.Cons: The screw in attachments are very cheap plastic, most of mine broke on the first day. Just be very careful with these that's all.I'll buy another if i ever need one and would recommend this to a friend.

Not sure if bad batch?
These Eco185s are advertised as moving 160gph of water...not sure if I got a defective batch or what, but all 3 pumps are incapable of filling my trays with 1" of water even when left on overnight (trays are only 2'x4')

Más o menos
Pues no me sirvió para lo que quería que era sifonear mi pecera con en un video pero no logré hacerlo bien, quizás para un acuario para tortugas estaría perfecto
