Fritz Mardel - Parashield Herbal Parasite Remedy - 4oz (43100)

I have a 75 Gallon Show Tank and purchased/added 2 Clownfish that came with the Ich (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis, often termed “ICH”) parasite, which spread quickly to my other fish. Following the directions for use within an Invertebrate and Coral tank, I treated my tank over a two (2), six (6) treatment period (Note: I had a second cycle of hatched parasites that required the two full treatments, which is safe), and the Fritz Mardel Parashield Herbal Parasite Remedy worked perfectly. Be diligent to stay with your treatment schedule and you will be rewarded. After the first treatment, I performed a 25% water change, and then performed my second treatment. I'm happy to report my tank is beautiful and all fish, invertebrates, and corals are healthy and free of disease now! Note, in order to perform the two treatments I was required to purchase a second bottle of the treatment to effectively treat the two cycles. However, this may not be the case for your tank... just be prepared.Excellent Product and I give my highest recommendation! Mr. L. Ferrin

ember tetras were slowly dying off from being covered in ick so I bought this treatment hoping to treat my planted tank with shrimp ans snails. I followed a youtube videos advice. Raised tank temp to 84 degrees then used half doses of 20 drops once every morning for two weeks. I ended up keeping the tank at 84.Now Its a month later and fish are doing great with no signs of ick coming back yet.Shrimp, snails and plants are great as well!

My experience is that you have to put fish with ick in an isolated small tank for this stuff to work. I have a 150 reef tank with sps and used this to treat fish. Followed the directions, used half the dose because of sps, and didn't have success. But when I caught the fish, put them in the quarantine tank, and slightly overdosed this medication - the ick went away. So I put the fish back in display tank and it got ick again. I then repeated this process and put fish back into the display tank only this time the fish has stayed healthy. If you can't use copper, then give this a shot. Gave 4 star because I feel it's over priced.

My daughter won a goldfish from the fair and before I knew it she plopped the blasted thing into my established tank. Low and behold a few days later and the dredded white spots appeared on all of my tetras and my female Betta. I have quite a few scaleless fish in this tank so I was limited with what I could add to my tank. I did some research and quite a few bulletin boards and some videos were recommending this. I decided at this point I really had nothing to lose so I gave it a try. Within a few days all my fish were spot free (even that fair fish). Using this stuff saved my fish. I highly recommend this product.

Wasn’t effective

It is safe to use in a reef tank, however it isnt effective. Put the sick fish in a quarantine and do a HEALTHY dose andnit works. My Coral beauty angel survived. But my royal gramma got worse and worse. I used two bottles, wich total treats 1100 gallons. And the tank that was being medicated was only 42 gallons!Not the best product, but it also wasnt the worst ethier.

I’ve used this on my fish whe they had ick and it worked in just a couple of days. And it doesn’t harm your corals unless you don’t do a water change. It’s the best option when you don’t have a QT

I was a little skeptical of this produce from some of the reviews I've read. However, I'd decided to give it a try. I raised the temp. to 81 degrees and treated my take according to directions. After 5 days the Ichthyopthirius was gone. I continued treatment for another week to make sure I stopped the cycle. You don't have to tread everyday only every three days. Did a 50% water change and no Ick in 5 months. This produce has not chemicals and only essentials oils.Raising fish for 60yrs and I must say this is the safest, fasted and harmless to all living things in my tank.
