Fire does look ok, gives out ok heat but not as much as expected. I have been unable to make full use of remote control as LCD is faulty and remote is a bit hit and miss, been in touch with seller and informed no spare parts would have to return full fire for replacement, this item comes from Germany and took 8 days to be delivered so didn’t want to send back as would take weeks to get replacement. I did request for them to just open another fire and just exchange remote but have had no reply to last 3 messages (get automatic reply saying someone will be in touch soon but apart from 1 message out of 4 no reply. If they reply even with automated Amazon think they are in touch and do not get involved) so I am now in process of trying to return fire.

The media could not be loaded. I am bowled over by this electric fire. It is many years since I had an electric fire and I suppose I thought they were a bit 70’s !! How wrong I was. This is smart, classy looking and has the feel of a cast iron stove. I have two multi fuel stoves in other rooms in my house so did not want another, and also felt I needed something quick and no mess for as I get older. I am so pleased with this, very very warm, and up on an island off north west Scotland we need warmth ! I know it is summer time and August, but the need for the wood stove is not u usual this far north at this time of the year, so this fits the bill beautifully. The controls are easy and the flames are lovely, of course it is not real, but that is the point ! After 10 minutes of being on it warms my 220 year old Croft house room, and the thermostat is very efficient. I am sure it will be a godsend in the winter when the central heating has gone off and I need fast heat. A totally good buy, admired by a number of friends, one of whom is so impressed she will invest in one too !

The fire arrived from the supplier very well packed. Easy to set up and looks good in our lounge. Fire effect is lovely and realistic and makes the room cosy , we have used the heater , and we have actually found it to be very quiet unlike our previous electric fire. The only part that could be improved is the remote control, it is easy to use but unfortunately the screen is not backlit so you cannot see the screen to operate it. As we use the fire mostly in the evening a backlit screen would have been helpful . Apart from that we have found it to be of good value .

The media could not be loaded. The item arrived by DPD it was very well packaged. It comes with EU plug but UK adapter was included. I love the flame effect it is very realistic and can be used without turning on the heater. I did a good amount of research on the various electric fireplaces and I liked that the grill for this one was at the top rather than below as I find the room heats up faster. The remote is very handy as well as other models didn't have a remote feature. There is a little noise from the heating fan (white noise). All in all I would highly recommend for the price.

Klarstein United Kingdom that has no customer support here in England & there totally based in Berlin in Germany. Its misleading . My Experience was disappointing & dissatisfied & stressful . I took delivery late October & had this installed . I purchased a fake Flue at £30+ A hearth & some logs to make it look like the selling photo . I also had the cable hidden behind the skirting board . We never used the heating only to try it when it 1st came to see if it would work . My remotes were the same has other reviewers state & it has to be 3 inch away from the front panel .The remotes is complicated & difficult to use if you want to set it you would never get your head around it has the booklet is brief & basic & I don’t think the thermostat would function correctly either & the open window detection is all balonie to make you think your buying a quality item . Also note that it’s not covered under Amazon when you have a problem in regard return & refund . Initially I was satisfied however on closer inspection I noticed the paint around the window plastic front panel was flaking & the screen on the inside was filthy & not fixed correctly & there were gaps in places but overall it wasn’t a problem unless you went up close & inspect it . My belief is they are made with Chinese poor quality parts & fitted with a European plug & a huge U.K. adapter & you are not buying a Quality item for £219 . We used it just for show lit up to give the room a placebo effect of warmth & to make it look nice & a cosy focul point . We used it about 20 times in the evening for around 6-7hrs at night lit with the flame effect . Suddenly the coal bed started flashing like a disco light on & off . I contacted amazon & was told it wasn’t there problem & I had to work it out with the seller . I was answered by a bot auto response & never got a human reply & instead of a nice focul point & what with the defects we had now got a fire disco light. I was furious . Eventually I got. a reply saying a technician will contact you . This was to fob me off for a few days & on the 4th of December I was told the return window had closed the day before even though I had contacted klarstein well before the return window had closed & I was now stuck with this junk .I threatened them with trading standards & I was going to contact rip off Britain & put this fire on social media to warn others that this company advertising has klarstein uk had no connection to the uk & were shipping poor quality items & I would go has far as 2nds that previous customers had returned & been bodged up repaired . I was immediately refunded & was told that I had to dispose of it . We now have a huge empty hole with torn off skirting & this klarstein Bormio S is now out on the road awaiting the scrap man . It was a stressful experience frustrating at times & I wouldn’t want to go through this again . There is no way to get to the coal bed once the L.E.D lights fail which they will . Why not make these fires better with an accessible coal bed for a replacement bulb . Instead of complicated circuit boards with led lights on them . I took great pleasure in smashing this up & we are now looking to find a replacement from a local shop . I was shocked when I smashed it up just how poor & cheap the inside was & the actual metal work shell thin & flimsy . I wouldn’t buy anything from klarstein ever again & this was the worst shopping experience I’ve ever encountered buying from Amazon . A prime member for years & im considering cancelling my subscription. Yes I got my money back but it was a fight. These are built to last a few month at best . Bormio S . I now understand what the S stands for .

I love this fire. It's well made, stylish and heats the room very quickly. I love that you can put real logs underneath. The flame effect is very realistic. I'm afraid my photo doesn't do it justice.

I bought this product about 4 months ago, three weeks ago it suddenly stopped working. After many emails between the third party seller (England), the company that makes it (In Germany) and Amazon not one single one of them was able to help me.I was told to return the product (I do not live on main land England) and only after several emails I hastento add. The original company could not help as they were not the seller on Amazon and Amazon said it did not fall in there A -Z refund policy.I was now stuck with this electrical item to repair myself, luckily the problem was a blown fuse in the British plug/converter provided, as it had the German original.Lesson learnt, no more expensive or even electrical purchases via Amazon back to the local high street.Disappointed...
