The change in tone is really obvious!!!
Okay, not all holes line up, but I have never gotten a pickguard assembly that has. If you don't have a "bathtub" cavity, you will need to move wiring for a good fit. Again that would be the same for any. This fit into a Squire Affinity without any altering of the pickguard. The tone is very apparent if you have been used to a higher output ceramic pickup. This is "twang city". There are some ceramic pickups that are pretty good, but this for me improved the tone so much I almost couldn't believe it for under $40. Hey you get new screws and a matching back plate as well. I'm a newly trained guitar tech and it's like a whole new upgraded guitar. I've wasted money on cheap stuff in the process of learning and doing projects. This is well worth it.

vintage vibe and tone watch out for 60cycle hum
For under $30 the Alinico 5 pups are defiantly vintage vibe and loud. I purchased them to replace some inexpensive stock ceramic pickups in a Washburn Shadow Strat copy. They are awesome replacements but watch out for 60-cycle hum, a typical single coil issue - more hum in bridge, middle, and neck than out-of-phase positions. The pickguard most likely will NOT align to your current holes. I had 1 line up but a small drill for pre-drilling a tiny hole fixes it right up. Installation is pretty easy if you know what to do. A Philips screwdriver, a soldering iron, some solder, sandpaper, and small wire cutters, small electric drill and small bit are all you will need. If you don't know what to do YouTube will have a video. It's counterproductive to spend $30 and then pay a tech $50 to install them so plan on doing it yourself.Overall: I love the tone I am getting and after messing around for an hour I decided to keep them and drill the holes. Even if I change pickups again I like the cream vintage/age vibe over the solid white pickguard anyway. The tone is very Stratocaster and vintage. I have been playing for over 30 years and all my guitar heroes play Stratocasters hence why I love them so. Have owned plenty to compare to.I like these Alinico 5 over the stock Fender Mexican, the fender noiseless pups are better, hence noiseless to remove the hum of a single coil. Duncans are great too but for less than $30 you can't lose and I bet you won't notice much difference in your tone as most of it comes from your picking hand. : )If you want vintage Stratocaster tones these are great inexpensive option, if you want high output metal look for some EMGs or quality ceramics.

Best low budget pickups ever for this price (not joking)
Sounds very clear and with a good amp this is a no brainer for the price and ease of install.

Just fine. Easy drop into Squier Affinity
I bought this to upgrade a 2005 Squier Affinity Stratocaster. As good as Tex Mex pups? NO.Better than the stock ceramic pups? YESOverall: totally worth the 35$This pickguard was a straight swap into a 2005 Squier Affinity Strat. It dropped right in, with the exception of half the screw holes not lining up (see pic). I’ll be drilling new holes, so, easy fix.None of the backplate screw holes line up at all.I like the aged cream color and the gold hardware.

Better sound at a very nice price 👌
The pros- the alnico 5 coils really made this strat hit a next level in tones and the cream color brought the Vibe I was going for on my build. The cons- you will have to trim and drill new pilot holes depending on your guitar, did not match up and had to be altered a bit but was not a deal breaker.Overall, very satisfied with the way my project came out as you can see by my pictures.

Looks good, sounds great!
The 5 way switch needed to be replaced on my '99 Squier Standard Strat. I came across this loaded pickguard and decided to give it a try. Only 3 of the holes lined up on my guitar as my strat used an 8 hole pattern, but that was an easy fix and I knew this before purchasing. These pups sound great, especially compared to the ceramics that came stock on my guitar. Are they genuine Alnico 5s? Idk for sure, but they sound great and they look like Alnico pups. The switch and knobs are smooth and the bridge pup is also wired to a tone knob! The nicotine aged yellowish color looks great against the galactic purple! 10/10 would recommend!
