Just ordered four more
I needed new slip shorts, so after browsing I ordered this one...it was a name brand and it had good reviews. Wow. I just ordered four more. I am 5'4" and the scale hovers between 151 and 154. My largest areas are my waist and tummy. I ordered XL. It fit like a glove. I wore it around the house for hours. I worked at my desk. I walked around. I sat some more. I made dinner. No ride up whatsoever! It was comfortable, and the waist did not roll down either. I bought a few skirts to wear to work this season, and this item is perfect. The price is fantastic too.

Great
Damask Neutral color- matches light to medium skin tone, more like a beige. Size XL. These fit perfectly if you're a size 8 or maybe even 10. They're not meant for shaping or smoothing, more just for chaffing or as you would use a slip for modesty, or to conceal dark colored underwear under white sheer clothing. They are very comfortable and free feeling. I don't believe they are cotton.

Nice, but runs a little big
Runs a bit big for a control panty. But comfortable and stays put and well made. Going to order the medium to see if it will give more tummy control.

These are great
I owned a pair of these some time ago and have no idea what happened to them. They were the older style with the lace band at the top and not hemmed on the legs. They were marketed under the Vassarette brand and I was having a hard time finding them to get more. Thank heaven I found they are now marketed under the Vanity Fair brand. These are meant to be worn under a dress in place of a regular slip. I started wearing them because I was tired of my half-slips getting twisted around my waist, slipping down off my waist, or riding too far up my waist. (First world problems, I know.) These are very comfortable and they stay in place. These are not meant to be shaping, which is part of the reason I like them so much. I generally don't like shape-wear because it digs into my skin and often creates a little roll of skin wherever it ends. (Um, isn't shape-wear supposed to smooth out the rolls, not cause them?) I am quite short-waisted so the waistband did roll once or twice, but rolled back on its own, no manual adjustment needed. My dress didn't cling to the fabric. I am 5'5" and at the time of purchase I weighed 145 lbs. I ordered a medium because I was headed out of town and didn't want to risk buying a large with no time to return if it was too big. The medium fit fairly well.

Not a shapewear
I give it 3 stars because it’s cheap, material is nice and soft but that’s not a shapewear. It doesn’t slim your body at all.

Great buy.
Comfortable and does not roll down. I ordered a a second pair. Value for money: Great deal. Functionality: Wears well. Stay in place: Does not roll down. Comfort: Very comfortable . No silicone grips either. Fit: True to size.

Smooths
High waisted to under bust line, soft material, medium tummy control, smooths, slips on with some wiggling, but comfy once it’s pulled up, doesn’t pinch at thighs, great value, black, looks like compression shorts. Not see through, so I wear them under dresses, and skirts in my PreK classroom.

Waste of money!
For reference, I am 5'5" and 235 lbs. I ordered an XXL because I have thick legs and am always afraid of clothing that cuts off my circulation. But not in this case; an XL would've worked too. I should've listened to the one-star reviews. I always loved the Vanity Fair bras from Macy's, so despite some of the negative reviews, I had higher expectations for this Vanity Fair product. Unfortunately, it doesn't offer any more tummy control than a pair of loosely fitting spandex underwear. And the legs do tend to roll up. The only consolation I have is the fact that I bought the shapewear on sale, so I didn't waste too much of my money. But if you need something that offers support, search for a different product.

very stretchy and comfortable, soft fabric not too thick for summer. I ordered 2xl as per size chart, but 1xl would have been better for staying in place
