TSA Lock Nylon Luggage Strap, MythGeek Adjustable Heavy Duty Cross Travel Suitcase Luggage Belt Strap, for 18-30 Inch Luggage

These are great luggage straps. I really like that they can be opened by TSA if need be. As for being able to loosen the strap in order to open the bag despite being locked, I easily took care of that. I cut the strap short and re-sewed the adjustment Tri-glide just so there was enough "loosening" adjustment in case the bag was "overstuffed". Other wise it fits snug, with out enough adjustment to be taken off. I customized the 2 straps I ordered for both my main bag and my wife's. Of course you can still cut it, but the main reason I bought these was use as a deterrent and to keep the bags from inadvertently OPENING if for some reason the zippers failed. I also like that ONE strap covers all sides of the bag. All-in-all, I really like the design and features of this luggage strap. (You can route the strap either over the pull up handle or under it, so you can still pull up the handle with the strap on - your choice.)

I ordered this specifically for a trip I recently went on with 3 connection flights. I am always worried about my luggage when I have so many flights to catch. I gave this 4 stars only because I am not sure how much security it really provides. For my purposes, I wanted something that would make my bag visible and provide an extra deterent. I think it did both... however, I feel that it would be fairly easy for someone to cut thru the straps or loosen the tension. This strap took a good beating during my trip and held up wonderfully. I purchased another set for my family.

I was a little skeptical about flying with an action packer again, as a regualar tsa lock slides through the lock hole on the handles and my lid popped off. But this is a good alternative. It fits around the 24 gallon action packer by rubbermaid, which is the exact diminsions of largest luggage hard case. I can take chritmas presents without the worry they will get damage in transport. I will update my star rating after my trip, as the buckles are made of plastic and im not sure how they will hold up on a long flight. But the bottom line is the luggage stap is fully adjustable! The directions are literally about as good as ikea instructions but i figured it out just by looking at the images. The straps themselves appear durable and they do not slide around on the plastic. Which will definetely keep the lid and contents secure. The straps CAN be adjusted while on the case. It is more as a deterence towards theft, not a complete halt to it. The tsa lock is very comvient and makes going through pre check alot easier.

I read reviews saying the luggage could be slipped out of the straps. If you have a suitcase with a side handle and a top handle, you must run the strap underneath both handles. It CANNOT be easily slipped out. We also tested the strap by trying to move the slide to adjust the length while it was buckled. We could not adjust it to try to loosen the luggage out of the strap. I also tested this travel strap on a two week trip through Europe. I was having zipper issues on my larger luggage and decided to give this a try. Wow it worked great! It held my luggage securely together and made my suitcase easy to find.The combination was easy to set.

Hard to figure out and no instructions

Good stuff, 1st time setup was a little time consuming (I did it at the airport) but then it was ez.

I bought this product because my brand new suitcase popped open the last time I traveled (I'm pretty sure TSA didn't secure the bag after an inspection). I don't care so much about keeping people out as just ensuring my stuff stays inside. Plus, it's an easy way to distinguish a pretty generic bag. I just placed the strap on my suitcase and it looks like it will work. The initial placement was a bit of a struggle but it wasn't too difficult. The product doesn't come with any directions. I did have to come back to the product page a few times to help me figure out how it works. I also want to note that my adjuster faces outward, unlike several other reviewers. I think this is because I have a larger suitcase and the adjuster faces different directions based on whether the strap is expanded or not. Once the adjuster is expanded to go through the triangle it faces a different direction. Overall, I like it. However, the real challenge will be the long day of travel I have ahead of me tomorrow.
