Cool seat. There are a lot of seats that hook to the back of the seat and floats, but this one sets on the seat. The others are great for front seats, and this one seems to be great for back seats. Yes, it is large. My little puppy can lay flat on it and move around. It is also high to allow your dog to look out the window. So if your trying to decide between this and the other, which we have in our other car, I would say that one is for the back seat and the other is for the front just because of the size. Also this one uses a seat belt to secure it so if you keep it in your car your seatbelt will always be stretched around the booster seat. If you have a smaller car you may find this too large for your front seat. We have a sport sedan with sport seats in the back and it does go past the seat into the middle. It just fits. I am thinking if you have a smaller car it may not fit as it will pass the seat belt connection. Also the seat goes down hill so to speak because of the seat Tilting down do I had to put a small cushion to level it out. Well made with nice piping. Nice cushion. Sturdy and will last for years. Nice sturdy base for your dog. Hopefully this description helps you decide which one will work best for you.

This booster seat works well in the 2nd row seat of my 2020 Odyssey minivan. It holds my 25 lb. weechon pup perfectly so he can see out the side and the front windows. Plus it's big enough so he can lay down on the pillow comfortably. I am supplementing the provided pillow with a microfleece pillow since my pup prefers the microfleece softness. The seat was easy to install and seems sturdy.My only reservation about the Pet Gear Booster Seat is the security system which seems flimsy at best since it's only attached to the back layer of fabric on the seat. I kept my previous premium dog safety belt which attaches to the 2nd row set latch bar that's attached to the car seat frame. This dog safety belt is much more securely attached to my dog's harness, is used behind the Pet Gear Booster Seat, and is long enough to pulled above the back of booster seat with enough length of my dog to stand and sit comfortably on the booster seat. ..Bottom line: this is a well=made Pet Booster Seat that needs to be supplemented with a premium dog satety Seat Belt.

I really recommend this for small dogs or suv/minivan owners. I got this for my extra small/small dog. I have an suv so it’s difficult to find one that’s high enough for my dog to look out. There are the ones that hang around the neck rest but it doesn’t feel as safe and sturdy as this one. It’s easy to install. Just pull a seatbelt under it and you’re all set. The sides are really comfortable for my dog to rest her head and look outside. The width size is a little small so I bought the larger one for my small dog.One thing I don’t like about this though is the fabric. It feels a little weird and sticky, but as long as my dog is safe and comfortable I don’t mind. I plan to make a little pillow case for the insert so it feels nicer. Another thing is the pillow insert. It’s basically flat with a sheet on styrofoam. I’m going to cut a piece of memory foam from my dogs old bed and replace it. These are just two things I don’t like personally. It doesn’t affect the product and comfort of my dog so I’m still giving it a 5-star and recommend it for all small dogs.

This booster seat is being used for a Bichon frise that weights approximately 19 lbs. he absolutely loves it.Cons:1) It does sit very high (I have a Accra but he loves being able to see it all). It will concern you that dog will be able to jump out window however I use a headrest seatbelt that is awesome that gives me complete confidence he is very safe (SlowTon dog seatbelt 2 pack purchased on amazon for great price awesome product for pet safe travel)2) The harness clips are attached to seat and are not heavy duty and while this has not happened I was concerned they would rip from booster seat especially because it is made of sturdy foam and fabric. This is not a deal breaker as I already had doggie seat belts that attach to headrest so I use those (belts purchased on amazon from SlowTon Dog seat belt 2 pack a must buy at a great price)3) removable pillow - washable zipper shell filled with a pillow insert. The insert is not very good but I had a insert that was not being used so I put that in shell with other insert to beef it up for my babies comfort so this was not a deal breaker.Pros:1) it is made of a sturdy foam which is light weight and easy to move. While other reviews criticized it because it was foam, it has held up very well and has had no damage and I use it 5 out of 7 days a week. Using since April 8th almost 1 month.2) Removable pillow case has washed up very nicely.3) Height of booster while I listed in cons because it may concern other pet owners. It has been a real plus for me and my Bichon frise. Every other booster I’ve tried has really not made him happy as he couldn’t see and he loves to look around when we drive. This booster seat has been awesome I have never seen him happier and he rides around like he is king of the car.Overall this product has been an absolute winner for me and my pet. Everyone is different and has different concerns but please give this one a try I think you’ll find that your pet will love it and if you were like me if they’re happy you’re happy.
