Perfect scoop for a Keurig!
I don't write many reviews. But I REALLY love this product. I'm not the most coordinated person in the world, but I find it EXTREMELY easy to use without spilling any coffee. I've been using it for about a month now. First off, when I buy a bag of coffee, I dump the coffee into a wider container. I actually dump it into an empty reused Folger's red container that coffee originally came in and that I had used up. That makes it into a wider container that is easier to get the scoop into than a narrow-mouth bag. That might be the key. I'm right handed so I hold the scoop in my right-hand and once it's full, I use my right thumb to flip the tab closed. Then, make sure you keep your thumb on the tab to keep it closed while you flip the scoop upside down DIRECTLY over the empty pod. That will empty the scoop into the pod. Make sure the scoop is completely vertical when you lift it away from the pod. Shake it once to ensure it's empty before you move the scoop off to the side. Do NOT remove your thumb from the tab until this point! Make sure you you lift it straight up not off to the side (or you'll likely spill the couple of coffee grinds that may be left in the scoop). Then, if you need to, just tap the scoop on the inside of the Folger's container (or whatever you're using) to remove any loose coffee. It's really simple to use. It's just hard to explain. On a side note, I've been trying to figure out whether to pack the coffee in tightly (by using the base of the scoop). I just read somewhere that you should completely fill the pod. Close it up. Then tap it once or twice on the counter to pack it SLIGHTLY tighter. Packed too tightly and the Keurig supposedly thinks it needs descaled. Pack it loosely and the coffee might be weak. Supposedly, this method is a good compromise. So I'll have to try that.

This is the most important thing to know
If this devise is filled to the top level with the top edge, I can do it in one scoop, for me, that is the perfect amount of grounds for my Keurig drip coffee maker. More grounds than that is a bit wasted. This device works amazingly well and easily. I've been using it for a bit more than a year now. It's in excellent condition and I suspect I'll be using it for many more years. It's well make and durable. Cleans easily. It's a bit bulky when trying to get the grounds out of a small can, 10 OZ., of coffee, but still does the job better than using a large tabelspoon. I would recommend this product for anyones regular and repeated use.

Great tool if you know the tricks
This took a little practice. Scoop the coffee with the bottom cup and tap it so that the coffee is level with the edge, then close the top. Important: hold the top closed for the rest of the procedure or else your coffee will spill all over your counter. Then just pour the coffee through the hole in the top into the reusable K-cup and tamp the coffee down, first with the top with the hole in it, then turn it over and tamp it down with the bottom. This only takes a couple of seconds, and it ensures that the top of the reusable K-cup will fit into the coffee and can close tightly. If you don't do this, you might have trouble getting the coffee maker to close. I have a Bunn MyCafe that I slide the K-cup holder into, and if I don't get the K-cup tightly closed, sliding the holder into the machine is a struggle. This tool is exactly what you need to do this quickly, easily, and effectively.

Great investment... can save you a ton of $$$, time and mess.
This little gadget is way cool. For those of you who use your own coffee in a Keurig this little gadget doubles as a scoop and a funnel! You can measure as much or as little coffee as you like, close the funnel , flip it over and pour the coffee directly into your reusable k-cup filter. I then just wipe it out with a dry towel, napkin, paper towel, tissue (not used, preferably) and place it back into the drawer. The scoop holds up to 2 Tbsp. The funnel top fits over the top of the scoop. The opening of the funnel is just the right size to transfer the grounds into the pod. Little tip here: place the empty filter on top of the filled funnel. using the flip tabs hold the funnel in place, and flip them both over allowing the coffee to pour into the filter. I think you can take it from here. I use paper filters and it works well with them too. Paper filters work well with espresso adding another layer to filter even the smallest of coffee "dust". My sister loves kitchen gadgets and I had to get her one too. Gadgets like these makes me proud to be an Engineer!

Perfect Pod is surprisingly useful, handy, hygienic, and no-mess
We have owned and used the Perfect Pod EZ-Scoop for about two months. Its utility has surprised me. I no longer use spoons for any coffee transfer. Pros: * makes it easy to grab the right amount of coffee from a large coffee bag or can. * faster than spoon because only one scoop is needed. * hygienic because fingers and hands don't go in the coffee bag or can. * hygienic because dirty spoons are not left inside bags or cans. * clean because plastic seems anti-static so coffee grounds don't stick to the perfect pod's exterior. * no mess because the top hole ensures coffee goes into the refillable K-Cup. * less mess than spoons because the refillable K-Cup is not accidentally overfilled. Cons: - too big to use with small 12oz bags-- top lid must be flipped open and does not fit in the bag or coffee falls out before bag is closed. - for good hygiene, one should now consider how to create a clean and dry place to store the Perfect Pod between uses (e.g. use a coffee mug so people can pick up the handle without touching the same surface as the Perfect Pod hopper). Summary: The Perfect Pod removes frustration from using refillable K-Cups and is a joy to use-- I am surprised because I didn't realize how frustrating the act of spooning coffee into reusable K-Cups was until after using the Perfect Pod.

This scoop is easy to us, giving a reproducible amount of ground coffee to use in the Keurig K-Supreme Plus coffee machine, using the reusable K-Cup made for this machine. One hand usage, more secure than scooping loose grounds into the pod. A very inventive and handy tool to have.

This works great. the amount dispensed seems right for a good cup of coffee. My only concern when ordering it was will it make a mess with coffee grounds sticking to the plastic and in that grove in the handle. but it does not at all. I store it in a tall glass in the coffee supply drawer and there is no grounds at the bottom. I have no issue with the flip handle. One hand operation. Price seems right as well.

I'm really glad I bought this handy gadget. It really helps to fill my refillable pod neatly, rather than spooning it in. It is the perfect size and the bottom of it can be used to tamp down the coffee grounds. Very good idea!
