Caterpillar Xylophone Musical Toy with Wooden Mallets 15.25" x 6.5" x 1.5", Blue

Great quality.

I thought maybe this xylophone had the high rating because of the brand, but it's not just that. The sound is clear without being too loud. The storage for the mallets as the antennae is brilliant and my girls love these. The only issue I've noticed thus far is a little bit of paint flaking from the mallets, but it's not super noticeable on the mallets themselves. Fun little surprise for my kids.

Well made, bright colors, makes wonderful sounds. This toys has been dropped, thrown on ground and kicked around on the floor and still looks and sounds new!

I like this xylophone a lot, and so do my daughters, but the yellow E note doesn't sound right, so I knocked off a star. To get a replacement, I'd have to send it back, which doesn't feel worthwhile.

The fact that this was shaped like a caterpillar made me smile. I knew my kids were going to enjoy that part alone. It hasn't been two weeks and my daughter has already learned how to play row row row your boat. I enjoy listening to the sounds this instrument radiates throughout my home. Definitely functions great. It is so much fun for my children. Its light weight and easy to store. The children are definitely learning music notes and how to play .

As my wife convinces me that Melissa & Doug are the superior children's toy brand, I decided to take it upon meself to replace the pile of steamy crap that is the blessed Xylophone from some unknown family member. So looking up amazon for Melissa & Doug Xylophones, I clicked buy without second thought, TRUSTING HER BLINDLY. To my surprise, while the build quality of this toy is fantastic, with strong rubust mallets and thick wood and metal keys (to be fair nothing could be worse in comparison to the splintering excuse of sushi chopsticks wrapped in rebar shavings of my son's previous toy), I have an Eb, Fb, and a G# on this toy. WHAT, may I ask, is the point of this well-produced out-of-tune toy? My son is going to be playing with this through his young, impressionable age and grow up to sing a demented minor key version of the ABC song! If he develops perfect pitch, it'd be perfectly off key. So, yay to toy, nay for musical accuracy. I give 3/5, which is slightly better than 4/7, the number of accurate keys on the Xylophone I received.

Muy bonito, llamativo tiene una forma original sus antenitas 📶 sirven para tocar el xilofono de manera cómoda junto con las canciones (🔤 letras) fue para regalo 🎁 y gusto lo suficiente para los pequeños de la fiesta. Suena mejor que otros, nos gusta esta marca ™.

It's constructed well but off key. Still fun for kid to bash on but wouldn't buy again or recommend to anyone.
