Very Sturdy!! Don't/Can't Stub your toes or gash your knees!
We have been using this for about 5 months now. No problems at all! My boyfriend and I are a combined weight of approximately 425 lbs and have had ZERO problems with it. He likes to stand up on the bed and walk across it too...We use it with our tempurpedic (mattress only). We plan on putting very thin plywood between the mattress and the frame just for better weight distribution, but we haven't done that yet.Set up was SO EASY!!! Literally took like 15 minutes for my boyfriend to do it by himself. Watch the plastic end caps and make sure those are securely on before straightening out...my bf doesn't really pay attention to detail very well and I had to fix that...We had to move about 2 months after we got it and all we had to do is loosen (by hand) about 6 wingnuts and fold it up. It fit right in our RV through the door and maneuver through it with one person moving it. (typical smaller RV door too) Set up at our new house was once again not even 5 minutes, just to unfold and tighten the wingnuts back up by hand. The only (minor) thing that bugs me about it is the mattress slips down a few inches from the wall, but I don't mind this really. I wouldn't want anything holding it on because I would probably pinch my leg on it, just because that just how stuff works with me! LOLAlso, I LOVE that I don't/cant stub my toes or gash my knee on it either!! NUMBER ONE for me when looking for a bed frame!!**I would appreciate it if you click on if you found my review "Helpful" or Not Helpful". I am not receiving any sort of compensation for this review.** Thank you**

Undecided if Zinus is great or terrible.. (UPDATE: they're terrible!)
I'm conflicted about Zinus' customer support. I bought this bed frame because it's advertised as "silent", and for the first month it was and as a result the quality of my marriage improved. After a month the frame started to squeak. I contacted Zinus via email and got an automated response that a ticket was created. After 2 weeks of silence Zinus emails me saying they're behind due to technical glitches, and to reply back to them if I'm still having an issue and they'll try to respond within 24-48 hours. I responded back letting them know that the problem still exists. After a week I tried to view my ticket, but their website wouldn't give me a password. After a couple weeks I tried to call but they had excessive wait time.Today, 24 days after my last email to Zinus, I called them again. This time someone answered right away, said she didn't know why the website was so dumb, had me send her my Amazon invoice, then told me they'd send me a new bed frame.I guess the moral of the story is that if you Zinus frame squeaks you should call them.I'll try to update in a few months to let you know if the new frame makes noise.UPDATE:It's been a couple weeks since I've heard from Zinus. I don't have a new frame, tracking number, or even an email.UPDATE:It's been about 5 months since I bought the frame, 4 months since I started contacting customer service, and over a month since they said they would replace the frame. Zinus has made no further contact to me and never sent me a new frame. A ticket has been opened w/ the BBB. I'm no longer on the fence about their service.

The "Big and Tall" 14 inch frame
Ok, I hope this review can help someone that was like me. There are a lot of reviews that are for the Zinus brand bed base but for different models. This review is for the Zinus 14 inch Elite Smart base "Big and Tall". You can see each base model on the product description and compare them. With that being said, do not get it mixed with the 18 inch or other 14 inch models. This model is for the "Big and Tall" and it's added feature is extra stability and weight limit of 4,000 lbs. Now, my wife and I are not big and tall at all, lol. We are actually not even close to that, but I wanted the extra stability in the frame after reviewing other customer reviews showing how the frame began to bend on them. Look at the product pictures and you will see that on the Big and Tall frame there are extra thick beams throughout the frame, whereas the other frames have more of a wire going throughout the inside. Other reviews have showed those wires bending on people. I didn't want any chance of that happening, so I chose to go with the more thicker beamed framed. I'm glad I did because this frame is a tank solid. I've only had it for a couple of weeks now, but I am VERY - VERY PLEASED with my purchase. Time will tell if any squeaks will start, but right now absolutely quiet. No squeaks at all.Now the big topic everyone is concerned about, the storage space under the frame. This frame has at least 12 inch in height storage space. You might be able to squeeze a little more than that but you might have difficulty pulling out your container. I've included a photo with a 12 inch high tote under the frame. When I was in search of a base, I really wanted the 18 inch high Zinus frame, but I was concerned of the stability of the frame. From other reviews showing of the wired typed of frame has bent for others, I was also concerned with going 4 inches higher on the frame legs on 18 inch will make ghe frame less stable. I assume the higher you go, the less stable the legs are on the frame. I don't know if that is true, but the 14 inch frame with the solid bars throughout is very stable and still comes with excellent space under the bed. You can go 12 inches high and be safe, and you have the entire rest of the bed space for storage. My wife put together the frame and mattress HERSELF while I was at work. I guess she couldn't wait but she did an awesome job and it's not difficult. My entire king size bed came in 2 boxes from Amazon. The frame and mattress. We are using a "Classic Brands 14 inch Cool Gel Memory Foam" king size mattress that we couldn't be more pleased of. These two items together are a match made in heaven, lol. Although we will be putting some flat plywood between frame and mattress just to give more of a flat surface for the memory foam. I don't know if it's necessary because when I look under the bed, I don't see any substantial sagging. It looks fine, but I just want to be safe.At the end of the day, the frame is awesome and a great idea. Very sturdy, quiet, easy to put together and easy to move around. I am very pleased with my purchase and I highly recommend it.

Day #3, super happy so far!
I set-up the king size base & a 12" mattress from Zinus all by myself while my husband was at work. No tools were needed other than that & a pair of scissors to aid in opening the boxes & bags. I used a pair of pliers to handle loosening a bolt (I had to fix my own mistake), otherwise they would not have been needed. The set-up took me about 2 hours from start to finish. (clearing the space, moving the old bed, pulling everything out of the box, assembling, and placing/opening our new 12" Zinus mattress on top)We have laminate flooring with a low-pile area rug (from Home Depot). The bed is atop the rug, which helps keep the base in place. The base does not move, shake, or make a sound. We are both large people (600-700 lbs combined) and the base is SOLID.Serious koodos to the team @ Zinus.

Excellent but needs a rubber edging!
Very easy set up, heavy but that’s a good thing, lots of support and strong (we’re 600lbs combined!). Room for storage and perfect height. Only issue is the mattress slides. Suggest adding a rubber for along the edge to hold mattress in place.

It is a fantastic frame and it's as easy to set up as they say it is!
I was a little worried about this frame because you know, it comes in a box and you just have to unfold it and bam it's done. Well I am super happy with it! It is sturdy, quiet, and so easy to set up I did it by myself! It even fit in my bed frame between the rails so I got to keep my headboard and foot board!I read the reviews on this and a few were saying that their mattress slid on the frame, so before it came in I went out and bought anti slip tape that you use for carpeting and cut a few long pieces and stuck them on the frame and voila no slipping of the mattress.

The Perfect Support
My spouse and I are quite heavy, and our mattress is too as it is made of natural latex and foam. We broke the supports on our IKEA bed (the slats were okay, but the end of the mid-beam bent up and the metal crossbars were bowed, and the mattress collapsed to the floor. I did a lot of research on new bed frames and foundations to find one that would support at least 1200lbs. This foundation is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. It is very sturdy and not noisy at all, pretty simple to put together (except for a couple of the support bars were tricky), and definitely holds us! The best part? IT FITS INSIDE OUR OLD BED FRAME! I was so worried about having to buy a headboard and a whole new matching bedroom set, but thankfully this foundation fits perfectly inside a queen bed frame with the guts taken out! The product specs say it can hold 4400lbs, but I haven't received confirmation from the manufacturer about that, but I would definitely say that a sturdy mattress, and a few normal people would be easily supported no matter how much jumping on the mattress is happening!

Pretty impressive value
Okay I read the reviews before hand so I was expecting a pretty solid piece of furniture, but let me tell you this product has exceeded my expectations. Solid build quality, light weight, attractive finish, perfect dimensions and it is very stable (so far). Lots of room under the frame for storage, and the best part: folds out and assembles in less than 5 minutes. I honestly don't see much that could go wrong with this buy, great value for the money. I live in a student house, and moving out will be a breeze with this bed frame (usually the hardest part of moving out). Good stuff, Zinus.
