Top!
The Midnight sun company is back! We had left them in pretty bad shape after their last mission.. another success, but which came at a heavy price… and we find them chafing at the bit and being at the door of their old hunting grounds the Spine Nebula.Branco is still in search of a cure and his only hope rests in a mysterious race known as the Wrogul and a mysterious world called Azure, (and yes, if you have read ALL the books before, it should connect some dots). There, their resident Jeha spy/engineer/mad scientist, Jenkins, falls in love with a fellow Jeha who gets abducted by bad guys from a group called Endless Night, the former enemies of the Midnight Sun sisters who run the outfit...At that point, Branco and Sun go follow Jenkins's love and meet an old friend of Sun's… And then… Then, READ THE BOOK!!!I always find it rough to write a review and to avoid spoilers. This new installment in the adventures of the Midnight Sun company is interesting on many levels: we meet cherished characters yet again and follow them as they evolve (special mention to Betty and her quest for the Riderless Tort), we learn more about the Spine Nebula, we learn more about the Goltar, we learn more about the enmity between the Goltar, Goka and Veetanho,,, the story ties up well with the evolution of the main story line (i.e. very early in the book, we are at the end of Alabaster noon), as well as the other adventures of the Midnight Sun. There is lots of action, lots of laughter, lots of reflection, much exposition about the past and - potentially - the future of the Galactic Union and it ends up in a shocking revelation and some cliffhangers about the fate of one of our heroes.Highly recommended, I had a blast reading it!

I want more!!!!
Another great book in the Four Horseman universe. Lots of action. Tim writes a fun book and Endless Night doesn't disappoint. Kill aliens, Get paid is the mantra but when that is your job and you work for aliens, who do you trust?

Excellent, entertaining mil-sci-fi
All the action you crave, with the intrigue and mystery you’ve come to expect. This is in the top ranks of 4HU books, in my opinion. There’s an excellent plot of shifting and unreliable alliances, twists and turns in quick succession, and the one thing you’ve been waiting for but until now couldn’t have: JEHA ROMANCE.

Beneath the surface, is hidden danger.
So much for having some things figured out. Appearances can definitely be deceiving, and while some things are fairly obvious, many others have different layers and/or meanings. The author has managed a complex story with layers, depth, and far flung strings that definitely added some wrinkles to the overall story arc. I highly suggest reading the previous novels as trying to pick up the story starting with this novel would be extremely difficult and confusing. Having read the ones before this one makes a huge difference. It was already very entertaining and expansive. Now it is even more so, and now I need to read what is next. I know that I won't stop there, either. I'm not complaining though. Start with Cartwright's Cavaliers, you can thank me later.

More Betty, Branco, Blue and more!
I love Tim's books in the 4HU. Action, intrigue, deception and lots of interesting characters really make this book hard to put down. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Nice tale
Great book. Action Adventure with some good old fashioned swashbuckling tossed in. Shows that us old broken troopers can still kick butt! Hooah!
