Great, compact electronic kit.
Very cool kit. My wife & son (8 years old) want to learn how to play, so this is perfect as it isn't a loud acoustic kit. The kick drum doesn't hit every time, especially if you're hitting multiple pads at once, but it works well enough that they are going to be able to learn.

I am loving my drum set!
I think this is a really great drum set for the money. I am a beginner, and I didn’t have any problem putting this together. Everything came boxed very nicely, and it only took me about 45 minutes to set up the whole thing. Some of the boxes were damaged, but it didn't seem to affect the product. The instructions were thorough, and all of the cables are clearly marked (see photos). There is a lot of variety regarding the sound settings for all of the various drums and symbols. Be sure to set it up on a mat or carpet, the pedals will slide.I found plenty of instructional drumming videos on YouTube, and there are also several good apps for your phone. I signed up for Drumeo, which I love! Great instructors, who make it very fun to learn! I suggest buying a pouch for your sticks that you can attach to the frame, and a good plug in headset. Mine was only $30, and it works just fine. The drum throne is really uncomfortable for me, so I just use a chair. You too can learn to play the drums. Go for it!

Quality Set for Great Price
Summary: Great kit for the price! Make sure to use the right headphones/amp for best sound. Only downside are the pedals. They sometimes will not register an open hi-hat or kick beat.I bought this used/like-new and the boxes were slightly damaged, but all the equipment was perfectly intact. Assembly was easy and took about 30 minutes. Playing through a set of headphones I had laying around was adequate but hardly mind-blowing. I later found a better pair and noticed a huge quality improvement. I've played drums for over 20 years as a hobby in various community pit orchestras and cover bands. The last time I used an electric set was about 10 years ago. It was a friend's Roland and it sounded fantastic coming through the auditorium speakers. I was not expecting anything like Roland quality, but I was looking for something to bring to small venues so I wouldn't overpower the other performers.I wanted to hold off on reviewing since I wanted a chance to see how it did in a performance setting. I ran it through an Alesis Strike 12 drum amp and played at an open air farmers market. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. We had a good crowd and the feedback from them was all positive. I'm my own worst critic, though, but when I listened to our recordings I was very impressed at the sound quality and volume. I also vastly prefer this kit's mesh heads to the rubber ones I used on the old Roland. There are only two things that kept me from giving this product a 5 star rating and those two things are the pedals. The hi-hat controller missed the open hi-hat sound several times during the performance and the kick pedal really took some pressure to make sure it registered every time. The old Roland had a pad and it looks like the LyxJam 8 has that, too.Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. The price can't be beat and you get a quality kit. If paying the absolute lowest price is not a priority, then spring for the LyxJam 8 for the kick pad and cymbal chokes, both features I would have liked to have on this kit.

Great little drum set
Bought for my 3 year old grandson. He loves it, plays for hours. He’s pretty hard on it and it’s holding up well.

Good drums, crappy pedals
The drums are fine and with the headphones that Amazon recommends the volume (through the headphones, I haven’t tried an amp yet) is loud enough where I can’t hear anything in the background. My issue is with the pedals. The hi-hat pedal doesn’t give a realistic enough feeling to an actual acoustic set. You either hit the hi-hat open or closed. The bass pedal is also kinda cruddy. It’s just a pedal with one spring, I have to lift up slowly or else the pedal will make a kick when it goes back up. This is my first electric set so maybe I’m just not used to the feel. For the price and the fact that this is a temporary drum set until I get home I guess I can’t complain too much. Just a heads up for anyone else looking for a more permanent drum set.

Good quality kit, great action drum heads.
I bought this electronic drum kit to teach my two sons (9 and 13 years) to play and have fun. The delivery was right on track. The assembly difficulty for me was a 7 on a 10-point scale, where 10 is very tough. It may be easier for others idk. My difficulty was understanding the directions because a few parts were mislabeled in the drawings, but I got it done and the next time will be much easier now that I know the parts and how they fit together. The boys love it. I love to play it as well. The heads were perfectly tuned when it arrived. The bounce action on the heads is just right. The individual piece adjustments are easy to make so you can move things around the way you like.I recommend this product and will probably buy another set next year.

Where on earth is customer service?
The drum set was very nice at the beginning. After two weeks the drum heads wouldn’t stay tight to the bar and would fall every time they were hit. I tried to fix it, but the plastic bushing on the inside was shredded. That’s all it needed. But customer service was non existent so i ended up returning the drum set. I would have been happy with a 59 cent bushing to replace the one that was no good. The only option i was given from the company was to return it, so that’s what i did.

Hexagon pieces that hold the drums on.
The media could not be loaded. So I am missing the hexagon pieces that hold the drum heads on to the frame how to do I find new ones and the one that holds the one symbol on too.
