Like I said above, I gave a poor review and charged the seller with fraud in advertising. I can admit when I am wrong. The item comes capped which seems misleading. It does not appear to have the adapter to allow the thermometer to read the ear. Pull the top cap off and you will see the ear wand within. The item is easily used and quite accurate. I checked forehead temp against ear temp with a one degree difference. My apologies to the sellers, they sent precisely what they advertised. The fact that it has a stand that the capped end fits into means one should always keep the cap on. Thank you very much for the good price.

Super easy to use for the value of money. Works great for small kids

I don't know about the accuracy. One day I put it on my forehead and it reads "high" and is red. It won't say my temp, only that I am high. I did it again in a different spot and got 98.4, which is 99.4 orally. So a little high. Then did it again in a third spot and again I got "high" and no reading. Took it orally on a different thermometer and got 98.3. But for normal day to day, it has been working well ( I think). Very easy to use. Very fast. Way faster than an oral thermometer. I have to take my temp every day before going in to work, and after 8 months of this, am on my 4th thermometer. This is my favorite so far as it is very quick. Also, the name says "noncontact" and I don't think that is accurate. I put it directly on my forehead. I don't know if it would read without contact.

I really enjoy this product. It works great and has different buttons for where you are measuring so it can get more accurate readings. It is important to read the directions so you know how to turn it off, but it's really functional, easy to use, high grade, and the stand is super convenient!

Not great at taking accurate temperatures, but still somewhat useful as a reference. Easy to use. I'm rarely disappointed with things that I get online as I usually try to do my due diligence in comparing products and reading reviews, but I definitely feel like I wasted some money on this thermometer. Having a couple of little kids, I wanted something that could quickly, easily, and accurately tell me their temperature to know if they were feverish or not. I was getting readings all over the place with this thermometer, with wildly different readings with the different modes. I immediately found I couldn't really trust the accuracy of this product. I kept it though because it is so easy to use (and what earned it three stars), and now I just use it to check my kids' temperatures relative to mine. If it says that they are 101°F, but that I am also over 100° when I feel totally fine, then I deduce that they don't have a fever. But in the end, buyer beware that your money is probably better spent elsewhere.

The temperatures compared to my ACCU TEMP infrared thermometer were the same, within one tenth of a degree C/F. The only complaints that I had were the higher cost compared to the ACCU TEMP, and the fact that no matter what I did, I could not get the buzzer to work, regardless of whether the speaker icon had a line through it or not. (This is only a minor issue, as it takes a reading within 1-2 seconds of pressing the button.) The good parts about it were that the main button for taking a temperature is by itself on the top surface (no button confusion), and the fact that it had a baby mode for babies up to three years old. Due to the buzzer problem, I gave this AMPLIM/AMPMED Model AMP2001F1 thermometer four and a half Amazon stars, rounded off to five Amazon stars.
