Affordable, sturdy, and sleek monitor arm that’s easy to set up
This is an amazing monitor arm! Installation: I had never installed one before, and it only took me about 20 minutes to get this set up, including the final tension adjustment. I did everything myself except for bolting my precious monitor to the arm - for that, I had my boyfriend hold it up while I used my handheld electric screwdriver. Overall, easy to install and instructions were clear. Used with: Dell monitor (27”) and the Fully Jarvis sit/stand desk (42”) Stability: Using the monitor arm is way more sturdy and stable than the stand the monitor came with! My computer screen would wobble all over the place if I typed quickly. This arm is way more stable and holds it steadily in place. One watch-out: the instructions show the arm 180 degrees opposite to the base of how it arrived. I had to loosen a bolt in order to get mine to match for Step 1 of setup, before I could begin. It was easy to adjust, but worth noting to check for this. Other: the wire integration feature helps keep my desk looking neat and organized! Overall: I couldn’t be happier! I move the monitor up/down depending whether I’m sitting or standing, so I think this is the perfect monitor arm for a sit/stand desk setup, for anyone who wants to expand space on a small desk top, or for anyone who wants better stability for their screen. It was a steal, too! Very affordable and functional.

High Quality, Excellent Value Articulating Display Arm
This is a fantastic articulating monitor support arm that is easy to install and adjust. It easily holds my relatively heavy monitor securely and gives me back a bunch of desk space that my old monitor stand required. The mechanism allows you to set the support spring to the weight of your monitor so that it is balanced and easily positionable at any height, angle, and distance. I like that the attachment to my desk is stable and secure without doing and damage to the expensive wood finish of my desktop. (It also comes with hardware for mounting the arm in a desktop cord hole.) For such an inexpensive monitor arm, this does a great job and is an excellent value. I highly recommend it!

Just follow the instructions
Work recently provided me a second monitor to use at home with my laptop but it did not come with a stand. I started looked at regular desk top stand thinking they would be the best buy. Soon realized that I could get this swing arm stand for not much more. Since my desk at home is pretty small, the swing arm made a lot of sense. It gave me more working space, I could get the height of the monitor exactly where I needed it, and keep cords more organized. I've been working with this swing arm for about 4 weeks now. Have not had any problems with the monitor moving accidently (it is a light 8 lb. monitor). Unless I jar the desk pretty good, there is no vibration. The instructions could be a bit more clear but if you read them through a couple of times and compare to the actual hardware, they begin to make sense. The hardest part was running cables once stand was mounted to the desk. The angles to tighten the screw are pretty tight. Very glad I bought this stand. Would recommend.

Acceptable quality
I didn't expect much from this monitor stand when purchased it, and bought it because I always wanted to have spare one, just in case. Few weeks after purchase it became handy when my previous monitor stand broke. So why 4 stars and not 5? well, simple: there is no removable monitor hanging part -- it is single piece and requires putting screws into monitor while it hangs on two partially screwed in screws. Sometimes it is acceptable, sometimes it is not. In my case, it increased frustration during installation. Also, it is somewhat flimsy -- from tiny shake of the table, monitor will shake well too much. so ★★★★☆ is maximum it gets. For the record, I'm using it with 27" Monoprice 4k monitor.

Great for its price. Very flexible and easy to use.
Easy to install. Has a cable management runner underneath. That part was a little cheap but it works well enough. Overall its a great product and works well. So nice to be able to move it freely to gain desk space.

Exactly what I was looking for
Works perfectly with my setup. I needed to raise my monitor and my desk doesn't have space in the back for a mount stand because it has a back panel and no border, so I needed one that would be able to be setup on the side, and this one did the trick My desk looks exactly as I wanted it to and the monitor feels more comfortable now, as it doesn't take as much space as it did with the base. The mount is very sturdy and indeed easy to install.

Decent cheap mount, but has some issues
I only just installed the mount so this is primarily based on my experience installing it and getting setup. So far the mount is mostly doing its job but it is for sure a cheap mount. I needed something for a secondary small screen when gaming so did not need something that could handle a super heavy monitor. So far it is holding up well enough, but there are 2 major issues to be aware off that I did not originally notice that you should be aware of. 1. The monitor attaches directly too the mount instead of attaching too a plate and then you slide the plate onto the mount. While this is less of an issue with the low weight this mount can support, it does make mounting the monitor more difficult since you have to hold up the monitor with one hand and try to get the screw in with the other. Also makes moving the mount more difficult since you either need to try to move it with the monitor or unscrew the monitor, making finding the right position more difficult. 2. It appears on mine that the tension screw for moving the mount up and down is either... not working properly, can barely handle the weight of my monitor (this monitor is apparently only 9lbs), or the screw is backwards. I think I have it working but will remain to be seen if it stays where I want it. TLDR: It does its job but the cost comes with some sacrifices. I kinda wish at the price point I had spent $20-$30 more to get a much better mount, like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089D8WM8G/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that I am currently using for my gaming monitor. Will see if this ends up being a return or not.

Really impressed!
I ordered one of these... then another... then another. These things are not lightweight. There is a lot of metal in them. Note the shipping weight! They easily support a 32" monitor. The gas spring is wonderful. Tension is adjustable. The choice of mounting methods is helpful and the hardware for both is fairly heavy duty. I've only had them in operation for a few weeks so far, but my overall impression is that they are of very high quality in both design and workmanship. They are also an especially good value for the price. I've owned a half-dozen other monitor stands over the years. Some were more than twice the cost of this one. This ErGrear stand is clearly a cut above the rest. I would highly recommend this monitor mount stand to my friends. (I do not work for ErGear and they did NOT provide the mounts for my review. I'm just a consumer who is really impressed with this unit.)
