I needed a police presence in my lego city train layout but didn't have much room. This fits nicely. It didn't have mini figures so I bought a 48 figure pack from Amazon which fixed that problem as well as adding more people to my Train/City layout. Easy to assemble. Have fun..

My 7-year-old son was very pleased with this gift. He was able to build the police station himself in an afternoon. The directions were slightly confusing because after you add bricks according to the direction, the next step shows all the previously added pieces as light gray, probably to make the new bricks you are adding stand out in the directions, but this confused my son a little at the beginning. I think it made it a little more difficult to follow than Lego, but it wasn't a big deal.Also, the police vehicle had a design flaw. The directions called for a side mirror-like piece to snap over the fenders, but the fenders were too high to allow those pieces to fit. So I had to help him use a different piece, and he was disappointed that the original directions wouldn't work. It was an easy substitution, and there were extra pieces, so it wasn't too big a deal, but it was disappointing to my son that the directions were wrong.Also, the pieces don't stay together that well. I noticed some other reviews before I purchased the set mentioned that, but some people said they didn't have any trouble, so I thought the potential savings was worth the risk. I think the set uses too many tiny pieces, and it ends up effecting structural integrity. Lego brand has a lot of specific pieces meant for one purpose, and this has a LOT of tiny pieces that are all the same and, therefore, can be used in multiple areas. It probably saves money. Having to snap large sections together repeatedly bothered me more than it bothered my son though! He is happy with the set, and based on the savings, we will probably buy more.

This product is hard to assemble and the directions are terrible. This set originally had 818 pieces and now it has 736? There is a sticker over the 818 piece count that says 736. Huh? I think that they cut out pieces to save money and it shows in product quality. I wonder how long these vehicles will stay together, not sturdy at all. I bought these to try and save a few dollars because my son builds multiple sets a week.. but I will not purchase a third set. I found the quality on this one and the fire set to be the same.

Directions are out of order and make no sense.

There are too many small pieces. I expected it to be larger than it was. Our grandson love it though.
