Shipping container homes: blueprint how to build a shipping container home for cheap and live mortgage free for rest of your life

I have a building background and was expecting something in depth with real ideas and real life plans. What I go t was a book about how cool it is to be counter culture and live in a container. I also learned about pretty colors and cat designs (I kid you not). It was written from the perspective of a young girl who knows nothing about building or construction. Not worth the time to read it; not worth the money to buy it.

Very generic, no real specifics like I was led to believe in the title.If you knew nothing about this, this book would help, but most people ,like me, who want to invest in a container home, have really looked into it. Some specifics please: eg. How to get a building permit for a container home, examples of permits and how to fill them out, examples of floor plans etc. Pictures and examples would help. Nothing here I couldn't have googled and got the same info.. $13 bucks down the drain....very disappointed.

As a few others have stated. This book requires at least a 4th grade reading level and a basic knowledge of construction trades. The book cover claims to be a "blueprint" for building a container home. It contains no prints, blue or otherwise. No pictures, page numbers, or drawings. Repetitive "facts" and honestly the way the book is composed is erratic.For the author: please take the criticism well.

A truly interesting idea! This is a wonderful and easy to understand guide on how to built your own container home, leave mortgages behind and just live off the grid. This book will has helped me to better understand how my family and I can afford a perfect little dream how by purchasing a container and working to make it our dream home at our own budget. Some really great details in this guide!

Hard to fallow. It said blue print in side. There are none what so ever. Repeats the same information over and over. And what not seems to be her best used line.

Visited a friend's house over the weekend and saw that she lives in a shipping container with her 2 cats. I got so jealous on how she revamped the whole thing! I got curious on how to redecorate a shipping container into a living space and I am surprised that there are so many ways to do it.

With the description on the cover I would have expected at least a blueprint or plan or two and possibly one or two pictures. It reads a bit like a high school essay. With that said there are a few tips in this books worth knowing.

Good book very informative

No useful information at all, all general info. Describe what seacan is.Nothing that is more then page fillers. Waste of paper,worth Only what the paper is worth.50 pages of general info, that isnt useful at all. Do not buy this book unless you like wasting money. The authors name basically gives it away. Thought i would get it with the other 4 i bought to gather as much info as i can.very dissapointing.And she has no experience with one whatsoever. With building or living in.just a money grab.

Very little information in this book. Large font easy read but no real insight or information. The blueprint word is completely inaccurate.

Not really helpful at all. I was expecting some layout designs or photos --- there's none of that. I found much better information with more detail on the internet. Not worth the purchase price.
