Good little coffee maker
So far so good. I don’t recommend using replacement filter baskets to brew your own because coffee grounds get all over the place and dark brown sediment in the bottom of cup. Yuk! I will say that It definitely works best with the k cups. I always press down on cup before closing lid and pods don’t explode. Learned this from another reviewer of this appliance. I definitely enjoy the coffee it produces. It is hot but not so hot it scorching which is a plus if your on the go. Brews pretty fast.

Nice size for just a couple cups of coffee.
I have a larger Cusinart coffee maker at home and love it so much that I bought the smaller version for when I visit my daughter (she has a different kind of coffee maker that I don’t love). With Cuisinart there is no waiting for the water to heat up, it is instantaneous. I love that feature. K-cup machines are simple and easy to use, are easy to clean and provide the right amount of coffee with a choice of ounce settings.

Junk, try something else.
I have other Cuisinart brand appliances, e.g. , a coffee grinder and a bread machine that work well and that is one reason I decided to try this coffee maker. I saw negative reviews and foolishly ignored them thinking those folks just had bad luck and I could probably repair any issue I came across after purchase. Well, I was wrong. THIS THING IS JUNK. First, the amount of water used is too much causing many overflows and spills depending on which size coffee cup used. Worst flaw is that on some pods (they are not all made the same) the top of the disposable pod would split or burst near the end of the brewing cycle and result in grounds in the coffee at best and grounds and liquid coffee spilled all over the counter top and inside the machine at worst. The unit is not made for easy cleaning either. If I just used it to make hot water for tea (in an extra large cup) and didn't mind having to refill the tank every other cup I guess it would be okay. If you want a K-cup/pod coffee maker try something else. I almost never throw anything away but after trying several times to figure out how to work around its problems I've given up on this thing and it's going in the trash. I'll also be reluctant to buy another 'Cuisinart' appliance ever again because my experience with this one.Good luck!

Great coffeemaker
I used a different brand for many years but decided to switch when the last model only lasted 6 months. This is my first Cuisinart and so far it's great. Good quality. I like that it has a water filter. Makes a good cup of coffee.

Fill up reservoir with a pitcher to stop the leakage.
Personally for the price, I think it’s the best single cup coffee maker out there. Yes it leaks, IF, IF IF you take the reservoir off the machine BUT you don’t have to. Just fill up the reservoir with a pitcher and voila, it doesn’t leak.I only make 1-2 cups in the morning, so this fits the bill. You can use Kcups with this or your own coffee in their own basket they provide with the machine. I like using my own coffee so using the basket/pod they provide makes it worthwhile. It takes about 45 seconds for a cup to brew. So the fact it doesn’t have a timer or clock is negligible. It’s simple bare bones single cup machine where you can use your own preferred coffee and not Kcups.

NICE LOOKING / COUNTER SPACE SAVER / HOT CUP OF COFFEE
I bought this over a similar Keurig because it is a machine that takes up less counter space. As opposed to my old Brewville, there are no real bells and whistles just the power and one of three cup sizes. I mad a cup and the coffee is good and hot It is fast and very quiet. I like the rear mounted reservoir which helps keep the width about 2 - 3" narrower than the equivalent Keurig. Like ALL machines with hot water on demand (no wait brewing) turn off when done. Leaving the machine on will keep water hot when you want it but will accelerate calcification. My expensive Brewville went into the dumpster because of this and it was no longer supported. So my advise is every 2 weeks, do a white vinegar flush and keep it off unless you are ready to use.2 Years Later: Still working as it did when it was new. However, during the past 2 years I noticed a few little issues. Occasionally (not very often), the coffee maker would lock up and nothing works. It has to be allowed to site with the unit unplugged for about 1/2 hour to allow it to reset. The tank could be a bit larger since after brewing two cups, the reservoir is empty. It does not brew as fast as my previous brewer. It could use one more size option aside from 7,10 & 12 oz. Otherwise if you are not a heavy duty user, this is ideal. If you entertain, get this coffee makers bigger brother.3 years later, still going strong. I use various brands of K Cups and never had one that wouldn't brew in this machine. (6?29/2020)

Leaks
Extremely disappointed that it leaks a month after purchase. Will be returning today.Follow-up: Unfortunately I am a few days outside of the return window so I have to work directly with Cuisinart.Follow-up 2: While Cuisinart did reply promptly to my inquiry, I purchased a replacement coffeemaker right away since I had no idea how long I would be without one. (Yes, another Cuisinart since I never had issues with their other appliances and this machine came highly recommended) I haven't gotten as far as an approval but I was told Cuisinart cannot refund money, only replace the machine. I don't need another coffeemaker so I just went back to Amazon about a refund. Sigh.Follow-up FINAL: I just chatted with a most helpful Amazon Customer Service Rep about returning the machine to Amazon. I am revising this to 3 stars since the machine is still defective but 2 stars to Amazon Customer Service!

Just the right size!
I had 3 dual coffee machines and always had trouble. This is simple, easy to use and we get a great cup of coffee every time.
