Very pretty barrette but it's not strong enough to hold my hair in a basic knot on the back of my head. The clasp just pops open with that much hair. My hair is average thickness and I like to pull it up in a twist to get it out of my eyes. It can't close over the hair. But it's very pretty and works as a decorative barrette.

Nice barrette! Perfect for my gray hair

I love this barrette style - much longer and thinner than average. It also has a black fabric covering the bottom clip, which I guess helps protect your hair better? I have thin hair, so this works perfectly. No snags or loose flyaway hairs for this one. It's pricier than other options, but few barrettes are made in this style, so it's worth it to me.

Lovely barrette but not for thick hair. I have ordered several of these because they are attractive, but this barrette came with the clasp either damaged or just attached off center. I began a return and took the item to the UPS store, where it was scanned and I have the receipt, but Amazon has not credited me for the return. I went to the UPS Store today for help and they said they had no way to either confirm what was scanned at their store, nor track the return by the number on their receipt.

Great find if your hair is fine and medium length like mine. Ordered a second one already. Looks refined and does the job. I definitely recommend it!
