Great little salt and pepper grinder! I like that you can adjust the size of the grind, its an easy moveable tab. Quickly grinds, perfect twist functionality too.I had been using automated grinders that required batteries for a couple of years but they kept failing and getting clogged. Going back to a basic functionality grinder is perfect.I also didn't realize they came filled with salt and pepper (each grinder respectively). Great surprise!

Great salt and pepper grinders. No mess since you turn upside down to grind and then back to right side up when you set on counter. You can adjust size of grind easily. Just an all around great product.

I've been through some pepper mills. The original manual one I had just wasn't doing the job well. The wireless battery powered one worked well for a bit, but ended up not being effective at all.This pepper mill is stunningly great. It's easy to select the size you want to grind to. And the size depictions are very accurate as to the grind you get - very accurate.I wasn't a fan of the fact that it came pre-loaded with peppercorns, but I'm not deducting a star for that. When I got a previous pepper mill, I did some research, and the overwhelming opinion was 'Telecherry peppercorns.' So I got a bunch of them. So, now I have a battery powered pepper mill full of these things, plus a bunch left over, and now I have to wait until I empty out whatever peppercorns came with this thing. Yeah, I could empty those out and re-load, but I'm morally opposed to throwing out perfectly good peppercorns. The review ideas are prompting me to say something about flavor, but that has nothing to do with the pepper mill. It's down to what you put into it.Of the manual pepper mills I've used, this one is far and away my favorite. It's stupidly easy to grind, and it grinds well.Overall, I'm glad for the purchase, and confident to recommend it to others. Again, not a fan that it came pre-loaded with peppercorns, but that deducts nothing from the rating - Not its fault I am suddenly bougie about my peppercorns.

TLDR:It's easy to grind. It does a good job but will not give you fine pepper. If you only use medium to coarse pepper then this is for you. If you like fine pepper on your eggs for example, this will frustrate you.Pros:It is easy to turn and grind peper.It's fairly durable. (I've dropped it a couple times and it hasn't broken XD )Looks okay.Cons:The "finest" setting is still pretty course. If you're used to or prefer finer pepper like you get at the store for some goods, you will not be able to get that from this product.Summary:I like it. It is easy to use and for people with wrist or grip strength issues it may be a nice thing to have. it's not skinny, so if you have issues turning things and have small hands, this may be a bit awkward. That said, it does not grind finely. I don't use it on my eggs for example because I don't like to feel chunks of pepper in my eggs when I eat them. I use it quite often on my steaks though! You can see in the picture that the largest peices from the grinder are several times larger than the largest peices from the can at the store. Not a huge deal, but very off putting to me again in some foods, so I just use both products.

I was looking for a pepper grinder that could do a very fine grind and this works well. No more chunks of peppercorn in my food! It's very easy to use and would be good for anyone with arthritis, I would think.

whenever i need a kitchen product, its right to OXO. always quality products with thoughtful designs. this grinder is no different. build quality is excellent. design is perfect - adjustable grind, fits in my spice rack, easily fillable, and its not 3 feet tall like other pepper grinders. not much more to say. highly recommend this item and all OXO products.

I love to eat and therefore, I like to cook. And I like to use flakey/kosher salt as I pull together a dish. But I live in Florida so no little cute salt dishes where I can reach in and pinch a little salt to spread over my food. Salt [sugar, too, for that matter] are hygroscopic, which means they pull water to them out of the air, creating a soupy, salty [or sweet] mess. Hence, this salt grinder. I tried using kosher salt in a regular salt shaker -- not a success. So I opted for this OXO grinder because I already own the pepper grinder and it works great. So, now I have a pair of salt and pepper grinders that make seasoning my food a whole lot easier. They are easy to fill, easy to adjust the grind size, easy to use, and nice to look at on my counter top or even the dinner table. Grind a little, grind a lot. It's up to you.
