A must have kitchen gear. Amazing Customer service!
The media could not be loaded. I had been eyeing this item for a while before deciding to buy it. It was one of my happiest purchases, and it’s definitely worth the money. In fact, I would prioritize this machine over a pressure cooker if you want less mental work when cooking or have concerns about bacteria growth and nutrient loss in raw meat before cooking. With this, I don’t have to "plan ahead" and marinate the meat for hours or overnight, yet I still get very well-flavored food.I was curious and tested the air vacuuming with some marshmallows. It sucks out a lot of air from the drum container, enough to make the marshmallows puff up a little and look bigger. Apparently, it works just as well on making my beef slices for jerky and chicken wings very flavorful within 15-20 minutes, the same result as marinating overnight. Even without the vacuum technology, the rotating action is very helpful in ensuring the meat is well mixed with the seasonings.To create a good marinade, I used to have to mix the meat thoroughly with seasonings in a big bowl, then struggle to transfer it into a vacuum bag and vacuum the air out with a bag vacuum machine. The juices kept getting into the vacuum sealer, and I had to be careful not to overdo it. Even then, the seasoning or sauce wasn’t guaranteed to coat the meat evenly, and I ended up with more things to wash and clean.With this machine, I only have to throw the meat into the container, add the seasonings in either powder or liquid form, vacuum the air, and let the machine do all the mixing. The vacuum technique works amazingly well to make the meat flavorful in a short time. My meat can still be cold after being marinated, which gives me a really good feeling about food safety.I’m usually lazy about giving reviews, but this is such a good product that I want to encourage people to get one. I even sent one as a gift to my mentor. After learning that his machine didn’t have the light hissing sound mine does, I wrote to customer service five months after purchasing to ask about it. I wasn’t expecting much, just checking if it was designed that way or if I had a slightly defective lid. To my surprise, they responded within minutes and sent me a new lid to ensure it was working properly. I was blown away by their service, and it motivated me to write this review to share my experience with both the product and their excellent customer service.With Christmas coming, I believe this item would make a unique, great, and reliable gift for yourself or someone special.

Can't tell the difference...
... between just sealing it up in a ziplock bag and using this thing. I'm sure there is one, so I'm going to keep using it. For the folks reporting leaks, I would just say that the vac tube is pretty soft/thin. Make sure it doesn't kink when you're pulling air. Also, if you're doing back-to-back batches, make sure you wipe the contact areas completely dry. Make sure there's no moisture or material between the lid and the barrel before you try to seal it.Use common sense when you're running the machine and (so far, at least) it should serve you well.

Great for jerky
This works perfectly. I have had it for over a year and it is great. I use it to make jerky and it speeds up the process. I run 5lbs at a time and it takes 15 minutes. I no longer have to wait overnight to start smoking the meat. There is one drawback, I did have to replace the lid because the valve would no longer seal. It kept losing the vacuum. Thankfully the parts were easy to obtain but a little pricey but worth it

Works, but be careful! You could have a mess. Faulty Seals
This was my 3rd unit. I make a lot of beef jerky and this thing works great. I orderd my 3rd unit, filled it with meat and marinade, set it for 20 minutes and walked away. I heard "splashing" sounds coming from my kitchen. I found the tumbler lid off the canister and a half gallon of marinade ALL OVER my white quartz counter tops, all down the side of my stove and all over my floor.I spent 2 hours cleaning my kitchen. I had to take the machine completely apart to clean it. I put it all back together and tested it again, empty. I found the leak..... There is a hole on the top of the lid where you put the suction device. Upon removing the suction tube and locking the lid, I could hear a "hissing" sound coming from this little gasket. After about 1 minute, all the vacuum released and I could remove the lid, in the locked position. This is why the lid fell off. This gasket is faulty.Also, I recommend to only hand wash this lid.Now, scared to use my other 2 units, I place a small piece of tape over this hole ....just in case.Other than that, this thing is great!

Best for jerky!
I make my own jerky and this thing saves me so much time! Instead of a 12 hour Maranate it take me 15 minutes! So awesome!

Don’t hesitate to buy
Don’t be afraid to order this amazing machine it is amazing I did beef jerky for the first time and used this to marinate and it took 20 minutes and the jerky came out amazing full of flavor and the meat was saturated in the marinade definitely worth the money and the build quality is great.

DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED
The seal is incredibly weak, and the design is very bad.I had one seal that didnt work at all, I didnt realize it and when I put it on the rotator everything spilled out and it shorted out the rotator which means it also shorted out the vacuum leaving me with a useless unseal-able pot. So they sent me a new one. The new ones seal failed after 1 use and the same thing happened, at that point I was over it and gave up on them.You would think that whoever engineered this product would have been smart enough to use liquid protection seals on the the parts that involve electricity (unfortunately that probably would have failed like their vacuum seals). I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND this product.

Amazing item
I've never made a pork tenderloin as juicy as the one after using this. I was able to cut it with my fork after tendering and using this. I can't wait to use it on steak and other meats.
