Hi...I'm not sure to be honest I thought the plastic had uv protection within it. I took the film off as thought it was just packaging. Also did not want a white look. Think it would be hard to curve the plastic into the side arms if it's still on? Sorry if not answered your question

Hi Abu, I believe the fixings that comes with the canopy are roughly 8mm in diameter as I used a 10mm drill for holes. As long as you use long enough screws to ensure canopy stay put in windy weather it should work on wood. Use washers if you cannot find 8mm screws. I hope it helps.

Q: Is there an option to have the poly come tinted rather than clear?

There's no option for tinted. But you could do your own tinting like a car window but remember it has to be formed into the side brackets

Q: What is the hole distance on each bracket?

There is no dimensions in the package. I assembled the unit and made a hole centre template using the cardboard package it came in. Hope this helps.
