WE Review: So glad to have my smoker back - For the price of a replacement hot rod, Grizzly offers a replacement igniter and fire pot. The fire pot and igniter fit perfectly, and worked well. So glad to have my smoker back!! Apparently, failing igniters account for over 80% of problems on Traeger pellet smokers. If you determine your igniter is bad, consider this replacement part! It's easy to install and works well. As a word of caution, the printed instructions are copies of copies of copies. Remember way back to the 2nd grade when teachers would hand out blurry worksheets? That's what you're getting for instructions. Check out videos on You Tube for a much more comprehensive set of instructions on replacing your failing igniter. Review: Get this combination! - I purchased the combination figuring if the burn pot needed to be replaced - so did the heating element. So after 6 years, I replaced the original with this one and wow, the stove is performing to almost new standards! All hole matched up, heater wire long enough and correct molex connection. Fire pot fit right into place and snuggly over auger tube. Tested it out - element got red and started up the smoker. Great combination - purchase this kit and even if your experience is half as good as mine - you'll still be very happy!

Four Stars
First off they need to replace the directions they send. They're so blurry it's unreadable. However, the fire pot and rod are good quality. I looked at YouTube and found some easy installation directions. I had the old one out and the new one in in 20 minutes. The hardest part was fishing The wire through the hole near the connection. My Traeger heated up to past 400°. Previously the hole in the fire pot prevented it from getting above 330 degrees in mild weather. I would buy this again and highly recommend it.

Traeger Jr. Fire Pot and Igniter
The fire pot and igniter was the correct part we needed for our Traeger grill. Works great and was a good price.

Constant flameouts since switching my pot out.
Igniter seems to work fine, which was the only thing I really *needed*. However, when I saw this combo, I thought, "What could it hurt to swap out both???" But since I installed this, I get constant flameouts. I used to get one every blue moon, now I can't go an hour on my Traeger without a flameout. I emailed them asking for advice, no reply. I don't know what the deal is, nothing else changed on my smoker, everything is clean with great airflow. But something changed when swapping out my firepot for this one - and my smoker is now essentially useless. I wish I wouldn't have thrown out my old firepot. <sigh> I guess I'm going to try to buy one directly from Traeger and see if that salvages things, otherwise, I don't know what to do, except look at a new smoker. :( <edit 12/1/17> Got a new firepot direct from Traeger. Problem... the Grizzly Grillz igniter would not fit - too big. Then bought a Traeger igniter, fit right in perfectly. Mine is an old model, a Traeger BBQ 124, I believe. I've also upgraded to the Ortech controller. I have read this was the last model actually Made In The USA. Either way, since I've changed my firepot back to a Traeger version (and subsequently my igniter, as well), it is working perfectly. No more flameouts. Actually staying lit at the lowest "Smoke" and 180F settings, which it would not do before. I couldn't think what could be wrong, but if you see the picture I am attaching, you will see the Grizzly Grillz firepot has 2 additional holes that the Traeger version does not. I can only assume this changes airflow in the pot somehow and prevents my pellets from staying lit. The flameouts were so constant and frustrating (sometimes 15 minutes, never more than about an hour without a flameout), I essentially didn't use my smoker at all this summer. Now it seems to be running great. And the thing is, calling Traeger diectly, my firepot was $20 + $10 shipping. Wasn't nearly as expensive as I expected. So, bottom line, while this pot/igniter combo may say it is for "all" Traeger grills/smokers, it certainly wasn't for mine, and the extra holes appear to me to be the problem. If you've got a Traeger BBQ124, don't do it!

Fit was perfect.
The traeger firepot that I replaced lasted for 9 seasons. I gave this one a three star rating because it has thinner steel than the OEM so do not expect the same longevity. Igniter looks similar to OEMs which only last 2 to 3 seasons. Fit was perfect.
