Surprisingly Great Speakers
Great appearance, good quality build, sound is great. The speakers I received have the spring loaded post type like their 3-way speakers. Overall very pleased with these speakers, using them with my Sony receiver, STR-DH190, they sound great. When I first got them, they sounded a little flat on the mids but after a few hours, they turned out to be the best bang for the buck. They are so good that I can actually hear each instrument in the recording. Highly recommended for a great quality product at such an incredible price. It's really hard to believe that a pair of these speakers only cost $65.00 and sound this great. I debated back and forth about the 2-way and 3-way, but after reading all the reviews about the 2-way, I decided to give them a chance, and I am glad I did. because I live in an apartment, I don't have a sub, but for me, there is enough of a bass to keep me happy. Maybe in the future, I'll try the Moukey 3-way speakers, but for now, I'm very happy with these.

The Little Speaker That Can!
I dare you to find a better speaker for the money...I double-dog dare you! These speakers are absolutely an amazing bargain! They are built very well. My only gripe and it's (sort of laughable) is that the grill's tabs are a concern (plastic does break). Still, that's my ONLY gripe. These speakers punch way above their price tag! So how do they sound? Very, very good. Are they $1,500 bookshelf? Of course not! But for their price, they satisfy as rear back surrounds or surrounds (That is how I am using them). I have no doubt they would be fine as fronts in a small to medium-sized room. Seriously, if you don't have deep pockets and you're not into brand-name snobbery, these are the best you can do for $65-70 dollars a pair!!!

purchased as a joke. better than they have any right to be
I needed inexpensive speakers for my office to connect to a cheap chinese faux tube amp (pyle pvta80) and when i saw a pair of speakers for under 100$ that claim to go to 20hz i laughed at such obvious hubris and decided to order them.. hey prime free returns if they suck, right? ok, well first off, they sound phenomenal at low to moderate listening levels, even at levels uncomfortable to my ears they sound as good as $300 speakers... paper cones tho so i think if you filter out the bass under 80hz and add a separate subwoofer you can get excellent sound at higher volume levels. Second, yes, they do go down to 20hz but the dbs roll off below 50... i was able to hear them down to 24hz.. but i bet it was -8-10db. bottom line, these are excellent low volume / nearfield speakers $70 paper cone bookshelf speakers that sound better than they have any right to & if you are looking at these due to space or budget constraints i really don't think you will be disappointed. sturdiness 4/5 stars for paper cones

They're not junk!
Let me start by saying that these speakers are an excellent value. When I first hooked them up, replacing a pair of Pioneer SP-BS22-LR Andrew Jones speakers, I thought 'meh'. Turns out they need a few hours use to 'come alive'. After a while their imaging became evident. This equates to well matched drivers and crossover components. What's interesting is they do NOT have the 'sizzle' of many small speakers. In fact, I'd be surprised if they're flat to 15 kHz. But that actually makes them sound good, because the highs present seem to have low distortion. The soft dome 1" tweeter crosses over low (1 kHz) so it might be designed that way. They have usable bass down to perhaps 100 Hz. They sound a tad congested in the crossover region. I'm wondering if the bass driver is running without a crossover inductor. If so, adding the right one might help here. In any case these EXCEL in the midrange (the most important part). Try "The Dangling Conversation" by Simon and Garfunkel and "Make Love" by Joan Armatrading if you want to see what I mean. These speakers need good amplification. They can show up a bad amplifier easily due to their low distortion. Seriously. At 60 bucks these are a f'n steal! Another possibility: Dare I say these sound Spendor fake LS3-5 ish from the low mids up? I might try blocking their ports with some wool socks and see what happens. These with a decent subwoofer could be something really good! One negative - though the picture and description say they have banana speaker jacks they actually don't - they have those push thingies that everyone hates because they have to remove their banana plugs from the wire to use them. Grrrrr.

Good for the price, but these are not high end speakers
I bought these speakers to replace the satellite speakers for my home office. Since my company has moved to a remote environment because of the pandemic, I now take all calls, meetings, and training through my computer. The desktop system I have is a powered sub with two satellites for the highs and mids. That setup worked ok, but now that I am fully remote I needed speakers that had more distinction between the highs and the mids in order to more clearly hear all of the virtual activities I do on a daily basis. These speakers can do that with no problems. After hooking these up, I watched a few videos, streamed some music, and took a couple of calls through the computer. After tweaking the treble and bass these speakers do the job as expected. The cabinets feel really solid and the inputs are easily used with banana plug inputs. The wall mount is a simplistic keyhole type of mount. Although I did not mount them to a wall the metal bracket feels very sturdy. Just to see how well they handle under serious power, I swapped these into my home theater system in the place of my Definitive Technology towers powered by an 800 watt Yamaha 7.2 channel receiver. The clears are not as high, the mids are more muddled, and watching an action movie, the bass was underpowered. This did not mean much to me because this is not what I intended these speakers to be used for, it was just for comparison. These speakers do the job for a small room, small budget set up where the volume does not need to be as defined. For large room setups where you are wanting high-end sound, these come off as underwhelming. If you are looking for entry-level speakers that can give you clear sound for day-to-day activities, these work really well. If you are expecting high-end sound from these, keep looking and spend your money on something else.
