Finally WIDE Enough! I Share Some hard-to-find Info with you!
I have HUGE calves - genetic AND due to weight gain, so I have searched high and low for socks that fit. The Jobst brand "fits" , but they are too tight to get on comfortably, with my arthritis (old hands) and a previous rotator cuff injury; putting them on is a 30-minutes exercise all by itself, but they WERE the only socks I found to get around my giant calves. I tried this MOJO brand, and have now bought multiples in case I cannot find them when winter comes. They FIT! They are easy enough to put on! I actually have ankles at the end of the day!I tried the 6X first, and all was great, but I was surprised that they were "easier than expected" to put on; I thought maybe I should try one smaller size, just to be sure. THEN - I ordered a 5X, which was only slightly tighter to me (but of course I was not really stressing them out - I just wanted to be sure they could fit). I have not started exercising while wearing these yet, so I am very curious whether they will stay UP or not (that was why I bought the 5x size, so I could try them both for a walk), but I will re-post when I find out. As for fit, though, my calves before all this measured about 28 inches around (yes - YIKES), and BOTH the 5x and 6x could be used, although the 5x is a tiny bit tighter. I put them on first thing in the AM, before any swelling set in, and after sleeping with my feet raised (I am now trying to do all that I am supposed to...).I am SO thankful for these socks that finally fit. Those who walk around wearing "whatever they want" have no idea how hard it is to find super-wide socks.THINGS I LEARNED:We have cats and a dog, so I was also glad to see that although I do get pet hair on the socks (unavoidable as we watch TV together at night), the socks wash out well and the tight weave does not "trap" the pet hair. It removes with a lint brush as well.I was a little concerned about foot size: although I have large feet for a woman (12 wide), they are still never large enough to fill in the "giant" sock foot area that the max-size compression socks offer. Not a big deal to me,since the point was to get these to fit my calves, but I wanted to let you know that there WAS extra fabric, but not too much, in the foot area, but it was not difficult to deal with, as other brands have been. This MOJO fabric is more stretchy and lays more flat than some others I have tried, which helps with this excess material. Not an issue for me, with this brand. Also - I read ONE review by a lady who was tall and flew a lot commercially, but did not really have large calves - she needed socks due to being on airplanes so much; she recommended the open-toe version since she was tall and had trouble finding a brand that was LONG enough. I am also tall (5-11), so I knew what she meant - many styles I have tried were too short to get "up under" that behind-the-knee area, especially when I was already stretching them to the max in the width dimension; these MOJO socks fit great, for me, in BOTH directions, in BOTH open-toe and closed-toe styles (neither was too short). And - sorry for the short people -but the shorter folks might end up with too much fabric at the knee or ankle, but I was pleased that these were long enough. I will gladly take too much fabric, over too little, any day.In trying out the open toed style, I was happy to learn that the compression DOES help with that excess fabric in the foot area - the sock can be worn as long or short as you need on the foot itself, which was a surprising advantage. I was previously worried about the open toe area being too tight where your foot sticks out from the sock - I have enough foot issues and swelling as it is, to not want to invite yet another issue to my feet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the MOJO sock did NOT affect the foot area - it is very comfy (and much cooler) to have the open the style on my feet. I go barefoot in the house all the time, so having to wear socks all the time - especially a compression style - is a big adjustment for me - they even make me feel warmer (as in TOO HOT) than normal, so having the open toe helps a bit. The sock was "firm" around my foot, but never too tight - and I wear them all day! For those who wear open-toed sandals, this is also a nice bonus. I think I could wear sandals and capris with these and not feel overly conscientious. I was afraid that the compression sock would make the open toe area very tight, or turn my toes purple, or bring something even more "uncomfortable" to my feet, but all is fine. They are very roomy in the foot area.Best of luck to you, my large-footed and/or wide-calved friends! I hope these also work for you!

BEST FOUND IN 10 YEARS OF ALL BRANDS
I’ve read a number of the negative reviews on these Mono Plus extra wide compression socks. I certainly would not say these people are wrong. Everyone has their own experience and judgement. But I have bought these - in a 4X 20-30 Hmg - In both Black and Beige - 8 times now, and am extremely happy with them. I have found none of the fraying after washing, or losing their stretch that some others have spoken of in their reviews. As for fit, I am at a loss to understand how anyone could have a problem with them. In fact, that is why I bought them in the first place, and been extremely pleased with the results. I have somewhat short legs, especially for my height. I am just a tad under six feet tall, but most of it is from my waist up. And I have a very big “beer belly” (though I don’t drink alcohol of any kind). I weigh 318 lbs. Let’s face it - I’m fat. I like to eat and unfortunately was raised on “country cooking,” and still like to eat those fattening fried foods and sweets. So my calves are “extra large” - not as much as the picture for this product shows, but not much less. To make matters worse, 14 years ago I had emergency surgery caused by a gallstone stuck in the common bile duct from my gallbladder and pancreas, in which the surgeon had to remove both these organs - which overnight made me a Type 1 insulin dependent diabetic. The diabetes eventually destroyed the circulation in my lower legs and feet (a common problem) so blood accumulates in both, giving them that classic rust red look which puts me in danger of blood clots. So, compression stockings are a must for me and have been for ee’ll over 10 years. For much of that time I was on an expensive quest to find knee length open toe compression socks that fit. Every brand I tried, no matter what their claims were about stretch, massaging, fit, quality, comfort, or the price paid, just didn’t work for me. I probably spent over $1,000 trying different brands and “models.” None of them fit right, especially at the top, where they dug deeply into my calves, cutting off circulation in the first half to one inch (estimate) of flesh just below the knees. By the end of the day, there were deep imprints from the top bands of all these other stockings I tried. They caused an itchy, painful feeling like having a rubber band cutting into my flesh (and cutting off the circulation) that was more and more painful as the day went on. I tried every gimmick I could come up with to keep those other stockings from being so painful. I even began wearing brands that were too little compression for what I needed, which caused the entire calf to swell and constant problems with fluid buildup that created fluid filled blisters on the calf surface that would burst and despite my best efforts, become infected. I was in the hospital three times for infections that spread from my calf (or calves) to my groin. During these miserable hospital stays, I was treated with a cocktail of super-antibiotics and informed that I might have to have surgery and lose toes, feet, calves or whole legs. Twice I had to go to a Wound Care Clinic after being released from the hospital for expensive and painful treatment. BUT THEN, HALLELEUIA!!!!, I found these stockings For extra wide calves by Mojo. I had skipped over them many times because I had tried other Mojo “models” or types and they were simply way too tight and had the same problem with cutting into my calves experienced with other brands, even in the larger sizes. LO, AND BEHOLD, these Mojo extra wide calf stockings fit perfectly! They fit the circumference of my calves - even at the top. I can wear them all day long and they are never painful and never cut into the top of my calf, having a wide, smooth top band that provided the needed pressure from the bottom just short of my toes to the top just below my knees. No swollen feet or calves! They were comfortable even after a long day. They have worked so well, I recently cleaned out my sock drawer and gave away all the other brands and types I had purchased in the past. NOTE: They work and fit well by themselves, but I find they are even easier to put on and even more comfortable if worn with light, thin, silky stocking liners

Tight XL Compression…too tight. But good quality.
I bought 3XL, 2XL, and these xl sized socks. I am not sure that these are from the same manufacturer as the 2 larger pair. Thankfully, because they work, and medicine changes, the 3XL, and 2XL are now too big, and will slide down if we attempt to use them. However, this pair of XL are very hard to put on.It is a bit annoying that there seem to be no standard sizes. For example, I later bought 2 pair of 3XL socks from yet another company, for which the reviews said they run small… those 3XL socks fit like they are a size between THESE Xl socks, and the older 2XL socks I bought… Yes, a mystery 4th size, somewhere between these XL socks, and the 2XL socks. Ultimately, I would have to say that these socks do not really “fit” like I would have expected the XL socks to fit. The material is good, and constricted well.

Sizing is strange
This product sizing chart is based off measurements for the calf and ankle. I ordered the product based off these measurements. When I received the product I was disappointed to find there is far too much fabric from heel to toe. It does not fit snug like in the picture and hangs loose well past the toes. The product is too long from heel to knee as well. Being a constriction stocking, the excess bunches up, cutting into the leg causing pain and cutting off the circulation.
