HoneywellH6062A1000 HumidiPro Digital Humidistat/Dehumidistat

Replaced a manual control which was a pain to keep changing. I already had a 24 volts transformer for power. Hook up was simple. I have a ThermPro Humidly and Temperature gauge in my kitchen. Both the Honeywell the the ThermPro read 35 percent humidity at the max. Absolute in sync. When its below freezing both controls will show with in 1 to 2 degrees. No more condensed water on the windows. Installation Instructions cover everything. But you need to know how a furnace works and have DIY skills.

Simple to use, simple to install (if you have a "C" wire) and works well. Every year or two I have to reboot one of the 3 I've installed so it can recover the network connection - acceptable I think. The web site works well, and the monthly reports they send alerted me to fix a problem what would have cost me $100's a month if left uncontrolled. For the price, these are great.

Works great. Had to add this to my smart thermostat as it did not have built humidistat. We're using it with a direct injection spray humidifier. This stat does not tell you when it's calling for moisture....Which I wanted to.know because I'm a dork. We added a small ledmand resistor on the 24v line in the neat channel provided on the back of this stat. That way with a glance you can see the light on the wall.telling you the humidifier is running. Otherwise it's a no touchy unit. Set up the outdoor sensor, select from 8 programs and it does the rest. Cheers

Works great. Would have given a 5. Bought two of them. One came with one of the pins unsoldered; had to take it apart and solder one of the pins to the board. If you have no power to the board, that could be the reason. It was the pin that supplies power. Works great now. This is a dry contact humidistat. It does not supply voltage to the humidifier relay. It only acts like a light switch to the two terminals; which is exactly what I wanted. It does take six wires. Hot, common, two outside temperature sensor terminals, and two contact terminals for the humidifier. It adjusts the humidity in the house according to the outside temperature so you do not get water on the windows as it gets colder out.

STUDY THIS BEFORE BUYING. MAY REQUIRE PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICIAN TO INSATLL. It barely works. And you’ll need to buy a digital hygrometer to confirm actual humidity levels and to help calibrate this device.It’s a crap shoot on this product. I bought one and it registered 25% huniditynwhen it was actually 30% or more. The hygrometer is not accurate at all. I sent back for a replacement. It resgistered 30% and never moved higher even whe other hygrometers measured 32% or 33%. However, I did learn how to calibrate the device. It does the job but very inneficiently. I have the calibration set +8%. The max is +9%. The problem is that the humidity has to get to 32% to shut off and then will drop to 25% before it turns on. I would have returned the product again, but I can’t find any alternative digital humidistat.Another complaint is that this unit needs constant power so it requires special wiring to operate. WHY DONT THEY MANUFACTURE A BATTERY OPERATED UNIT LIKE THEY DO FOR THE THERMOSTAT? I had to pay an installer around $200 to put a wire in to supply the constant current to the device.Some reviews say it is accurate. My experience on two devices suggest otherwise. Both units were off by 5 to 10%. I bought a $15 digital hygrometer and compared against two analog hygrometers all three wore more accurate than this device. So be prepared to calibrate the device and purchaese a digital hygrometer to verify the actual humidity.

Easy to install and program.

The temperature dips in the single digits and it adjusts my humidity accordingly to keep from frosting the windows. A simple device that works flawlessly. A word of advice, even if you have a newer, tighter home you will probably want to run with a setting of 4 or below. If you look at the chart in the documentation anything higher than that and there really isn't much humidity adjustment. Once I figured that out it's been smooth sailing. Highly recommended!! A+++

Added this to replace my dumb humidistat so it will adjust the humidifier based on outside air temp. So far seems to work fine, not bad to install except old one had a huge hole hacked into my duct I had to neatly fill.
