Love the fire pit and love the company
The fire pit shipped promptly and we would have had it in time for a snap of cold weather, but UPS dropped it off a block from our house and. And they dropped it off the truck. This thing is heavy stainless steel, but it arrived in broken packaging with a huge dent.I contacted the folks at ESRI and they were wonderful to deal with... best service I’ve had from anybody on Amazon in a long time. They replaced the damaged item, and we’ve used it a few times already. It’s amazing to watch it heat up, and see the smoke just disappear. It throws lots of heat and it looks great! We had originally considered a higher priced brand, but the price was great and I can’t imagine the other would have been better in any way.Highly recommended!

Well Designed, Poorly Welded
Works great once the fire gets going. Produces a very nice fire with very little smoke. After reading all the other comments about poor welds I just properly welded it before I used it. But not everyone has a TIG welder. The fusion welds they use are very weak and far too few.All the parts are beautifully laser cut and fabricated with protective plastic sheet. You could not buy just the material here for the price.I put mine inside an existing stack block unit.

Great fire pit for the money
While it’s not exactly smoke free, it is definitely reduced smoke and produces great heat. Definitely recommend to anyone who is looking at the Soloy but doesn’t want to spend $600.

Great value for the price.
There was quite a bit of work involved with setting this up, especially removing the protective coating film. It got scratched up putting the legs on anyway. The legs could have been designed to allow a socket wrench to fit into them, or have cut outs for the socket to go through the leg. I'd also like the center to be a separate piece with handles that make it easier to dump out the ash. This burns well, and there isn't much ash left. I'm hoping to modify the top to use for cooking. A grill around the outside would have been a great add-on.You have to pay 2-3 times more to get something better, and with a nicer finish. I'm happy with the compromise.UPDATE: My welds did not hold, the pit came apart, and the seller provided me with a credit to have them redone. It is nice to see a company standing behind their product.

Will not support this company again.
We were on the lookout for a smokeless fire pits for our patio. We bought this item because I loved the added area for rock/glass you could put around it. Once we got the item I didn’t like how sharp the edges were and then every time we cleaned it out, the tray for the glass would move and knock out rock onto our patio. Therefore, having small pieces of glass around, we’ve cut our feet several times. I spoke with the company saying I’d like to return it as the design was poor in my opinion. They sent me messages back that I couldn’t return it for a full refund unless it was a quality issue. A few emails later, the guy I spoke with apologized for the sharp edges on it and said he contacted the manufacturer to immediately fix this issue. So to me, the fact that they are going back to the manufacturer to change something poor about the product is the definition of a quality issue. Yet, they still refused to work with me on sending it back and getting a full refund. I’d have to pay about half the price of the item to ship it back and then pay a restocking fee on top of that for a product they even admitted was poor. I’ve never left any type of review on any product before but the customer service with this company was incredibly poor. I will not buy from them again.

Works great!!!
There are people saying that this is not smokeless but I don't understand how they are saying this. I was completely amazed and blown away by how little smoke there was!! (of course we were all skeptical and I assumed that there would be at least a little more smoke than there was) There was a little while getting the fire started and that was it! Once we got it burning, no smoke! I couldn't smell any on my clothing, skin or hair, at all, after sitting by it!! I had a great video showing this but couldn't find a file that was acceptable here to upload it, so I had to post a photo...doesn't show that absence of smoke as much as the video. This was our first time using it so I can't speak to the long term value yet but it was just as warm as any other fire. The hardest part of the assembly was peeling off the protective film on every inch of it but, other than that, it was easy to assemble.

Great value
Finally got nice enough to try it out. Here’s my advice:- Edges are sharp, it’s laser cut. I used a rounded file to take the sharpness off then peeled the plastic protectant. Maybe took an hour total and definitely worth it.- Get it lit and keep it hot. I’m not burning anything special in it, just random wood cut over the years that was split and stored under cover.- Find something to scoop ash out or plan to tip it over to empty it (it’s heavy)Overall for the price it’s an awesome deal. It was smokeless 95% of the time with just occasional visible wisps rising in the column of heat over it. Pretty impressive. Will update this review if issues appear later

No such thing as a smokeless fire
It's not smokeless. If you want a smokeless heater, get a propane heater. This is a stainless steel firepit, like any firepit at a campground but made of stainless steel so it's expensive. I used it once and found that it's just a big, smoky firepit, and the metal warped. I contacted Amazon for a return. The seller contacted me and said that they'd only accept it back in brand new condition, which wasn't possible as it had scorch marks on it from the fire. I tried to sent it back, but the seller wanted me to pay for shipping. $180 to ship it back! More than half the cost of the fire pit to ship it back and no guarantee they'd give me back the cost of the pit. So, now I have a large, heavy, warped fire pit that I doubt I'm ever going to use again.
