As a popper, it works well. Doesn't leave a lot of unpopped kernels. But the top section with the holes, which is supposed to melt butter onto the popcorn, isn't very useful. It takes the butter a while to melt, so it doesn't get evenly distributed. Probably better to melt the butter separately and pour / stir it into the popcorn after it pops.
