Survivors: Tales from the Packs: Three Action-Packed Novellas About Dog and Wolf Pack Survival for Kids (Ages 8-12)

This is a great addition to Survivors. I've been wondering more about Moon, and what Sweet did when she just up and gone for a pack in the first book. I was also curious what made Alpha so evil. Overall, if you are a fan of any/all of the characters or are just interested in their stories, this is a great buy. Both Alpha and Sweet were bullied, and I shouldn't say more. This is well-written and it was very interesting to learn more about these characters. I can't wait for the next Survivors book.

My ten-year-old son has read this entire series and is anxiously awaiting the next release. He has asked me to read to read the books as well and I find them to be very interesting stories.

Bisher dachte ich, die Warrior Cats wären nicht zu überbieten, aber die Serie Survivor Dogs ist wirklich gut. Insbesondere dieses Buch ist hilfreich, um manches besser zu verstehen. Alphas Tale fand ich sehr berührend und fast unerträglich seine Demütigung als Jungtier im Wolfsrudel, weil sein Vater "nur" ein Hund war. Gerade daher ist seine weitere Entwicklung in der Serie Survivor Dogs allerdings nicht nachvollziehbar. Aus welchen Gründen sollte er derart fies werden? Warum so gleichgültig gegenüber Fiery, den er doch als Welpen im Wald gerettet hat? Warum demütigt er einen Fierce Dog, Storm, bei der Namensgebung ebenso wie er selbst einst gedemütigt wurde? Und hat er nicht selbst einmal eine Fierce Dog Hündin geliebt? Nein, das ist nicht plausibel und daher etwas ärgerlich. Sweet mit ihrem geradezu besessenen Drang, ein Rudel zu finden, verstehe ich nicht wirklich. Die Hündin Moon dagegen und ihre Geschichte ist schön. Auf jeden Fall ist dieses Buch für Fans der Survivor Dogs ein Muss.

good book for adults and children, it fills in some gaps from the survivors series, but can be read as a stand alone book that will get you wanting to start the series from the begining
