MiraScreen breaks Sonos-Samsung HDMI eARC
INCOMPATIBLE WITH SAMSUNG+SONOS:I have a Sonos Beam using an HDMI eARC connection for TV audio. After attaching the MiraScreen G9 to another HDMI port on my Samsung’s One Connect box, the Sonos would eventually lose its connection to the TV. (The Sonos was still available for Airplay, the TV still worked, but the TV just didn’t see the Sonos connected or available as a sound output). The effect wasn’t immediate — it would take a few minutes (<1hr). This was 100% reproducible. I have used other HDMI devices on the ports 2 and 3 (yes, I tried both) without any problems. The MiraScreen has now been disconnected over 48hrs and the Sonos-TV link has been completely stable. This is 100% MiraScreen. :’(SETUP:The iOS app for setup never detected the MiraScreen. The web interface was adequate for changing settings. They allow you to change the administration password and the host name of the device (as it appears in AirPlay) but you cannot change the SSID it broadcasts on. I appreciated the nod to security, but didn’t like broadcasting a MiraScreen admin WiFi network for everyone to see.PICTURE QUALITY:The default screen, the one you see before casting anything to the device, was surprisingly low quality. Seems like a big miss. You have a device capable of HD/4K output and they slap up a low-res, pixelated bitmap. The streaming quality was fine. No complaints. The MiraScreen was within a few feet of my router, so I’m sure that helped. No significant lag (casting workout videos).OVERALL:I got a taste of what life could be like. It was sweet. 3-4 star territory. But the incompatibility with Samsung’s One Connect box and Sonos HDMI eARC means it’s unusable on my primary TV.

Choppiness during streaming
Easy to use since it’s plug and play. The downside is that for high quality videos, the stream suffers as it cannot sufficiently stream without choppiness (I’m running a 200mbps connection). While watching Netflix, I decided to swap over to wired connection instead; it works fine for lower quality streams but would think it over depending what you tend to stream.

Too much delay!
Pretty easy to set up and does the job asked but there is a long delay between the movement on your device to what is on the screen. If you’re just trying to screen mirror your tablet to watch a movie it’s probably fine but I was using mine to extend my screen for computer work. The mouse/key strokes had a long delay and were very jerky so word processing was not possible

Not a good product.
Bought this because we needed a unified wireless adapter for PC/Mac users. The interface is confusing, not convenient, and when it does connect the quality is poor and the lag makes it unusable for presentations.I'm the IT admin for an office building, so I was able to test this with multiple clients and different TV's in different rooms. It wasn't the environment or client, the product just isn't very good.

does not mirror a mac book unless using wifi so you cannot mirror anything while using internet
description states you can mirror iphone or a macbook screen but wat it doesnt tel you is that it uses wifi so while you can mirror your iphone and use the internet and apps that use internet signal because your phone has a phone signal... since a lapyop can only use a wifi signal to get on the internet you cannot mirror your laptop and use the internet at the same time. so only good for a mac book if you want to mirror something already on your laptop. no ability to mirror your mac while using internet, google search, you tube, netflix, spotify. nothing ca be done online while you mirror your mac book using this device. they need to make it use bluetooth for macbook in order for this to be useful. this is not clear in their product description. i got no response from e-mailing customer service/ tecgh support. returning item.

Will do the job!
Using for a drone controler to a monitor, transfer a great picture, bright and colorful image. No much latency, barely noticeable!

Poor 4k quality
4k picture quality is poor (pixelated). It takes tech support a long time to respond.
