Sturdy, comfortable, adjustable, fidget-friendly
Here's my thoughts on this kneeling chair for anyone wanting clear answers on whether or not to buy it:- Actual human - First off, I am a real human with a real opinions. I don't care whether you buy this chair or not, but I do want you to know what this chair is actually like since Amazon, unfortunately, is completely littered with terrible quality junk, and seems unwilling to do anything about it. Of course furniture is particularly prone to this problem-- as I have witnessed across many peoples' experience. So for me, giving you my evaluation is just an act of public service since useful high quality information is so hard to get about any subject.- Build quality - I am happy to report that the wood and hardware are very high quality and easy to assemble. The wood was actually better than I was expecting in terms of apparent durability, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the job VIVO did on making assembly simple and involving minimal parts. The cushion seems perfectly functional and comfortable to me. I'm sure there's a range of people out there, where some people might prefer something softer or firmer, but this is a good midpoint between the two, and will serve most peoples' needs. Could the cushion be higher quality? Probably, but the cushion seems to me consistent-ish with furniture you might get at, say, Target; mid-range, you might say.- Comfort - It is very comfortable once you spend a little time on it. Easy for me to sit for extended periods, easy to maneuver a few inches here or there if needed, and the ability to rock back and forth makes it fun to fidget in. Of course, there is no back support, but it does seem to naturally keep your back in an upright position. Thus far, I have not experienced any back pain. I imagine some people might get uncomfortable kneeling like this for long periods, but there's actually some flexibility to sit on it with your legs out front if you felt like a change. Also, you can adjust the placement of the cushion to one of 2 positions, depending on your height.- Height - I'm going to go out on a limb and say that without a standing desk, you might be taking a bit of a chance if you want to use this as an office chair. You cannot adjust the height of this chair. Your desk needs to be at the right height for you to make this work optimally. I'm 5'10" and have a standing desk adjusted to a height of about 30" (75cm) and my arms are level with the desktop when my back is straight.- Value. So... this is $100 at the time of my purchase. Honestly, my gut is telling me it's a shade on the expensive side... but I do feel charitable because of the quality materials and the thoughtfulness and simplicity of the design. Those do provide additional value and reinforces the idea to me that this isn't just disposable furniture that's going to someday end up as garbage. I do think it is durable enough and high quality enough that it will serve a good purpose for many years to come.

Surprisingly Comfortable!
I had wished I could get a standing desk, but as I'm disabled, this wasn't an option. I came across kneeling chairs and thought this might be an alternative solution. I wasn't sure if I would be to use, but decided to give it a try. I've only been using a month, but the padding is thick, but not too thick and seems like it will hold up. The upholstery is nice and also seems like it will last as well. I don't rock in the chair so I can't speak to that. I did find it a bit awkward to get in/out as the seat sits quite close to the leg portion, when the seat is on the lower (short person) setting. So to get in and out of the chair, I need to bring each leg around the respective outsides instead of getting on one side and sliding them over. Maybe not a big deal to most people, but is problematic for a disabled person. I'm a 5'7" man and the instructions said to use the short person setting. I actually find I am almost sitting like a chair vs kneeling, so switched recently to the tall person setting. I would speculate this may feel uncomfortable for someone 6'+. The chair is stable, but I'm only 150 lbs. I could believe many of the reviews suggesting the chair is wobbly, if you are 200+ lbs though. The main negative comment I read was that it was difficult to assemble. I'm not sure if they updated the instructions or simplified the design but it was beyond simple to assemble. Instructions were almost unnecessary. The only thing I'd say to to note is that there are gold screws, silver screws and gold barrel nuts. My initial thought was that the gold screws would go with the gold barrel nuts, but that was not the case. It turns out the gold screws go directly into the wood, where as the silver screws go with the gold barrel nuts.Overall a good chair for the money.

Practically solved my back issues
I have had back issues for YEARS. I was on my feet 9 hours a day for 7 years, and now have a desk job. Up until now, I have just plopped on the couch, in a chair, on the floor. I'm a plopper. I have short legs and chairs were never comfortable.Until this.My back was killing me all the time. Standing, walking, hiking, everywhere. I couldn't get relief on my memory foam mattress! So I decided to try a kneeling chair and holy wow...has it been a game changer! My posture is what it's supposed to be when I'm in this chair. No slouching, no bending. Alignment. Spine over back and I can't tell you how good I feel sleeping at night with a better spine!I'm not saying this is the solution for everyone, but it did work for me. And since work was re-imbursing the purchase, I thought I'd take the plunge. I love this chair.PROS:It's soft cushioning - thick cushioningIt rocks, so if you fee the need, you can fidgit a bitAfter a day of use, I can feel my core. It works your core and makes you stableIt looks nice - birch wood and black fabric. Nothing ugly.It fits under my desk - way better than a huge arm chair, it tucks under the deskPrice point - less expensive than most office chairsCONS:Only one...wasn't super easy to assemble. And my seat is a bit cock eyed. But it does not affect functionality at all...I just needed a bit of patience to put it together, and coffee helped a lot.I did not get paid for this review other than work re-reimbursement. This was my own purchase and I'm super happy that I don't have to complain about my back any more!
