My husband loves the Kickboxx (also sharing bags I bought to carry the snare and tom separately)
I bought a Toca Kickboxx for my husband, a working drummer, and he loves it! He says he was unsure of the overtones until he started playing with the band, and it sounded great and was plenty loud enough. He'll keep using his Sonor kit to rock, but loves this for his roots band.He doesn't always want to use the little Toca snare and tom, and wanted two separate protective carrying cases for them. Because it was so difficult to find the right fit at the right price, I'm sharing with you what I finally purchased after trying six different cases from traditional drum cases to mixer bags to laptop bags. At just $20 each, the Targus 15.6" Classic Slim Briefcase Messenger Bag is perfect for these 12" drums plus the attached hardware, and has enough protective padding to make us feel comfortable. I feel they'd be perfect for some electronic drums, too.

Saved us so much money
My husband wanted to add to his growing family of musical instruments. I let out a Marge Simpson groan when he mentioned a drum kit. Not only are they loud, they are big, and very expensive. I started him with a practice pad and he graduated to this Toca Kickboxx. It sounds great and is exactly what he needs to practice drumming. It is easy to pack up and move out of the way and looks nice. Best of all, I don't have a big old drum kit in my living room.

Yes its worth it
So there are a few competitors on the market for traveling kits. But this adds a whole new level of traveling kit.. First the hoops are not just hoops. They are serious. The included heads are actually decent go figure!. But the beauty is in the box. It is crying to be customized and even if you don't want to drill holes you can still buy extender arms and add a hi hat, cowbell, or accent of choice easily for about $16. The sky's the limit. As-is it's pretty sweet, easily tuned. There's enough space inside to store extra than just its hardware and a pedal. Plus it looks str8 bad ass. If you can afford it for fun, do it. If its all you can afford and you want to play it out for people do it.

Came in BROKEN… TWICE!!!
The media could not be loaded. It was delivered today and right out of the box, the bottom corner is totally crushed. If this happened shipping it bubble wrapped, I can only assume it won’t hold up for any gigging or real function other than home use. HUGE DUD. Poor construction and quality. Not sure how there are so many positive reviews unless I just got a bad one. Either way will be returning.Just received the replacement and it came out of the box damaged. Not sure what to do at this point

Exceeded my expectations!
COVID means playing in a small plexiglass box with two other musicians and it was a squeeze. Purchased this out of desperation and very happy with it. The box bass/kick is punchy and loud... no need to mic it. The tom and snare were a challenge, the snare comes with a throw off that wouldn't allow me to tighten the snare properly. A carriage bolt and washer/wingnut fixed that problem. The tom just need some dampening. The front tom arm is useless as there is no way to angle the drum and it places it in a flat awkward position. An old LP multi clamp mounted on the handle did the trick. Fun to play!

Toca suitcase kit
This is a great kit for low volume acoustic gigs. I added 10” hi hats. It sounds great with a little tweaking done to the heads. Also bought an ottoman cover to protect it when transporting considering they don’t make a case for it.

Did the job
I purchased this for a traveling gig I had so that I could easily take on an airplane and have "drum set" vibes for stripped-down acoustic shows. It did the job, but it would not hold up over time. The hardware is a bit suspect, especially the wing nuts that clamp the toms to the mounting rods. The handles and placement of rods also could use some thinking for travel. Mounted on the outside of the box, so potentially damaging to the box during transit. I removed the handle for travel. If you are going to travel a lot, you need a heavily padded case...there is a Cajon LP one out there that is heavily padded but rarely in stock. I used a duffle bag and wrapped the box in a bulky blanket.Regarding the sound, the toms are pretty limited. I used a lot of dampening rings and tuning to get the sound to work like I wanted. If you think of it as more of a "world music" kit than a drum set, it influences your beats and rhythms more. I came up with some rhythms I hadn't played before, based on the tones I could get, rather than thinking of it as straight kick and snare.

More than what it seems.
It's better than what I thought it was going to be. Got delivered super fast. Definitely alot of bang for the buck. Highly recommend for street performance, acoustic jam, small venue, or just a comfortable fit for all players.
