A Good Processor
I needed to build a budget system and wanted something fairly inexpensive. I went with the 7700K mostly because I didn't want to buy a separate graphics card, and at some point may want to play a few games on the machine. I have the APU paired with a Mushkin SSD and 2TB WD Green drive. I've also used 16GB of DDR3 1866, so not as fast as it could be. I am not using this system to run games so please keep that in mind. What are you buying? The A10-7700K is a bit of an odd ball. AMD wants to claim we get 10 Compute Cores, and what that means is that we get 4 CPU and 6 GPU cores. This is important to note as other A10-7xxx APU's get 12. They all have an additional 2 GPU cores. So, if you want better graphics, please look at the 7850 or 7870 models. What does the K mean, it means the multiplier on this APU is unlocked and you can overclock it.Performance.I am very pleased. My primary desktop is an FX-8350 and for normal operations such as web browsing, opening documents, pdf files, youtube, and other typical day to day activities I can not tell the difference.Currently the machine is running Linux (Ubuntu 14.04) and hosting two virtual machines (each set up with two cores) on my home network. The only time I've noticed any slow downs is if both VM's are under load. Even then it could be the drive.HeatIMPORTANT! Do Not use the stock Heat sync and fan if you plan to push this APU, even a little bit. I used a fairly inexpensive Cooler Master Hyper TX3, also bought here on Amazon for a whooping $17.23 last month. It does the job, I won't go into a lot of detail here as I have the case in a fairly confined space with three other machines and have not tested it with better air flow.Power draw. This is a 95W TDP APU. Expect that, if you want to get a lower power draw you may want to move to the A10-7800 at 65W or better yet the A8-7600 which is very similar to this one.Final notes. This is not a bad processor at all. It runs fast, and with the right cooler it doesn't get overly hot. Real world numbers put it on par with an i3 from Intel, which is fine. Realistically if I had tried to build an Intel system with the same budget I would have ended up with a Pentium or Celeron CPU and they don't even come close. Add to that the thought that at some point I can actually use this to play some older games without having to go out and buy a graphics card and I'm very happy.

Very promising CPU
This little processor is very impressive, whoever says this isnt made for gaming is surely confused, i am a system builder and i have been always building purpose built PC's, this is more like a low level multi purpose mini rig, combined with gygabite GA-F2A88XN, ballistix 1800 8gb RAM, 200watts psu, and an el cheapo mini itx case, this cost me nothing, and it playes much of the recent games in 720p at low to mid details with respectable frams, would i use this as my main gaming rig? Not really, however i would easily consider this over a consol if am on a tight budget, performances for the price is unbeatable, i just hoped it would have more potential with Crossfire, i would recommend this CPU for anyone building a HTPC and occasional a modest game machine, especially if your on a tight budget, if you can aim higher then 500$ then get a CPU+ discreet graphics card setup.

Decent APU for standard workloads and light gaming
Fantastic proccessor!Pros: when paired in crossfire with a compatible GPU, this CPU preforms very well for most programs and games.Cons: this CPU is slightly underwelming on some modern AAA titles.Overall, great proccessor, I personally recommend pairing with a Radeon R7 250.

a good mid system
Fast for business aps but just ok for game. Sims 4 plays well, but grand theft auto5 is almost to slow. Power usage is does not matter it's not running on a battery.

APU is lacking with weak processing power
Sorry, but the APU is lacking and the processing power is weak. If you need a mid range computer to watch movies, then this is for you. If you are looking for heavy processing power, then go with the FX series. If you are looking for decent graphics, then buy a video card. These dual solutions are just not up to par... not just yet.

The processor was destroyed.
The processor was destroyed. When i got it in the mail all of the pins were either bent or had broken off

Good budget chip
Its not the most powerful chip on the market by any means. But still runs Black ops 2 at 30 to 60 frames at 1080p with decent settings. Easily upgraded, Can pair this with an r7 240 and use dual graphics, or you can put a much better card (no dual graphics) and it won't be TOO much of a bottleneck. The cpu is fairly weak though, but it's still a good budget chip. Had it for nearly a year now :) . Stock cooler is a loud at load though (its a stock cooler...that's expected).

GREAT processor for a budget entry level gaming PC
I got this AMD a10-7700k as part of a cheap entry level gaming build. After doing my research, looking at reviews and overviews, watching the keynote from amd at CES I was sold on this processor. I'm very excited to see what the HSA (Heterogeneous System Architecture) has in store in terms of performance and efficiency gains along with their Mantle software. It took me a while to set up the dual graphics mode on my gigabyte ga-f2a88xm-d3h motherboard with my gigabyte r7 250 OC 1gb gddr5 128bit graphics card and 8gb of silicon power 2133 ram. I haven't been able to do a thorough test yet, but assassins creed 1 is able to play at almost max settings at 1680x1050 resolutions at 60fps without the dual graphics mode. The processor itself over clocks well with the stock cooler at a max of 4.1ghz. Overall I'm very satisfied with what I got and how it performs. I will update upon Mantle release.
