Extremely good value for money and good features
For the price, I find it hard to believe that this meter is as good as it is. It has all the features I need for electronics repair, and is auto ranging, making it easy to use, with it's compact size helping to keep your workbench free of clutter.A nice extra feature is the ability to test capacitors.Build quality is good, with decent leads and crocodile clip adapters. The auto-off feature is a good idea too.I'd certainly recommend it, especially at the price I paid of £12.99. It's definitely surprised me with how good it is.

Nice little meter
Checks all the boxes for me: auto-ranging, decent count display, cheap (AAA) batteries, auto-switchoff. Also has a display backlight, though it's not needed in most conditions as the display is very clear. Not convinced by the 1.5V, 9V and 12V battery settings, they don't seem to do anything that the auto-ranging DC voltage setting does. It's not like it flashes green/red for good/bad or anything. The non-contact voltage setting seems to work - could be useful, though since I've never had that before I'm not sure how often I'll use it.The supplied leads are decent length flexibility, and have push-on croc-clip tips which adds flexibility in connections. Can't comment on accuracy at the moment, I'll try to compare it with my bench power supply and a friend's £200 Fluke meter to get an idea.At the £12.99 I paid it's a bargain. If it was £20 (the alleged full price) it would be decent value, but there would be plenty of other options to choose from at a similar price.

Good value but where's the manual?!!
Love this multimeter to bits. It seems very well made, and is - eventually - very easy to use. I particularly like the add-on crocodile clips - something my previous meter didn't have.Edit: After a few uses, the crocodile clips lost their grip and started just falling off. I periodically have to pinch the connectors with pliers to tighten them up.If you know your way around multimeters, the lack of instruction manual ANYWHERE (believe me, I looked) probably won't be a problem. But being relatively inexperienced, and having just upgraded from a cheap-and-nasty meter to this cheap-and-nice one, I was a bit stumped when the advertised continuity-test function wasn't clearly labelled anywhere on the dial or on the screen. By cross referencing manuals for similar products I eventually deduced how to do it, but that legwork has cost a star on the review I'm afraid.Edit: Having used this for some time now, and seen others reviewed online, I'm even more pleased than I was. It seems that some of its features aren't common in cheap units. As it works perfectly, I consider that a bargain.

Croc clips not great to connect
Picked these as showed croc clips and use them a lot on my old meter ( old ones screw in) these sort of push in - and for me mostly fall out again. If that’s not important to you then seems to be ok as a meter. Slightly surprised given manual says take batteries out if not using for a while that it was shipped with batteries in and no plastic pull tag to enable - so not really following own advice.

Initial review
I bought this as a general household toolTo trace electrical faults and check batteries etcThe meter feels sturdy and appears well madeI have used the non contact voltage detectorBattery test function and continuity and resistance tests which all work well and seem to be accurateThe readout is clear and backlit aand large enough and most importantly the readings are quite stableSo far very pleased
