My nephew LOVES these kits. He likes that once it's out together, he can play with it....it's not just a model. The item shipped promptly and seller provides exceptional service. I would recommend this kit and this seller.

This was a fun toy/model to build. I spent about 3-4 hours just taking my time enjoying the process and learning how this machine works. Everything you need to build it is included (glue, rubber bands), it even comes with a clay block that you use to create ammunition. I would recommend having some clamps available to hold pieces together while the glue dries. The sling takes some care in setting up correctly to actually throw the ammo in an arc. I used some crayon to wax certain areas of the wood that come in contact with the string, this helped provide a smoother surface than the raw wood for the string to glide across. I then used the rest of a crayon to put a thin coat of wax on all string areas to protect the string a bit. Overall, it's a fun toy that I I use to launch clay projectiles across the room at co-workers!

Takes a few hours to put together (helping a kid). Works well if you follow the instructions. 10/10 would buy again.

Mixed feelings on this item. Had so many problems with the crankshaft not working properly when assembling and still touchy with working properly.

I was a bit worried because some of the reviews raised concerns about the model and how the pieces fit together. Not my experience at all. The directions were clear and the various components all meshed perfectly. I built it with my 9 year old grandson. He couldn't have done it alone, but as a grandpa-grand son project it was perfect. One warning: you need to build it in stages. Some of the components need to be glued (glue is included) and left to dry before moving on to next steps. Without patience, there could be problems. And watch out when using it indoors. The sling bullets really fly!

Fun to assemble and even more fun to use. Shoots clay projectiles very well and you can adjust the amount of weight in the basket to control the power. We’ve only used clay but it’s powerful enough to hurl many different materials.

Good product. Had to do a couple modifications to have it function properly: 1.) Replace the very inconsistent felt sling with a open box. I cut up a painter stir stick and JB weld to make the box. 2.) Mount the entire structure on a backing board for more structural stability. Used drywall screws to attach to the backing board, in particular the mast which needs to be anchored well. Now, it works very well and consistent.

The design has severl flaws and doesn't actually throw the weapon well. Interesting build but poor design.

Great fun building this with my son. We used wood glue instead of the glue provided which spread the build over a couple days, letting the glue dry between each step. The trebuchet shoots surprisingly far and we now want to build a replica but a lot bigger to test it out.

Das Modell lässt sich gut von etwas älteren Kindern bauen. Es macht aber auch Eltern Spaß. Dem Leim habe ich nicht getraut, aber das ist ja kein Problem. Eine Ösenschraube ist mir abgebrochen, man sollte die Löcher vorbohren. In den Korb können Kieselsteine gegeben werden. Walnüsse fliegen gut, nicht zu weit und machen nichts kaputt. Wenn beim Schuss die Winde abgerollt wird, ist die Reibung zu hoch, aber das liegt nicht am Modell, sondern an Da Vincis Konstruktion.

Nice instructional model. Easy enough for an incompetent older guy (me) to put together. Not the most accurate in use, but I suppose that goes with the design. We’re going to use it as a game in a small festival and it nicely matches the Leonardo catapult from the same makers. Should be a fun time.
