Steve Madden Men's Harpoon Oxford

Real leather and very stylish for a young man. Bought these for my son (27) to wear to my daughter’s wedding, and now every time he gets dressed up, he wears them.

Size 9, very soft and comfortable even for a long walk after dinner.Good for rainy weather as well as cold ones. My feet don’t feel cold or sort of it. Only thing which is little bit weird are shoelaces, they are wider comparing to other shoes.

I thought I would write a review since some of the reviews here seem to be all over the place.First, let me be clear in saying I generally do not like traditional dress shoes with stiff soles or elevated heels. I tent to wear dress loafers or casual shoes to work, and pull out the leather dress shoes for formal events only. I thought these oxfords would be a bit more forgiving with gum rubber soles but still dressy enough to sub in for dress shoes. That said, they felt like a stiff pair of dress shoes when I first put them on.The insoles are terrible and part of the problem. I bought some gel rubber insoles and it wasn't a ton of improvement. On a whim, I ripped the existing insoles out (it's just thin fabric over a thin layer of foam) and swapped the foam insoles from a pair of my Reef Deckhand shoes in there, and it was so much better.Size wise, I usually wear a 12.5 or 13 in most brands, and these fit me in 13. You might have issues if you have a really wide foot or need a really wide toe box, but my normal size 13 feet fit just fine. They do have a somewhat tapered toe but they aren't unusually long, so I don't understand the reviews that describe these as abnormally long and narrow.All in all, they look great and are solid leather uppers, so four stars. I would reccomend foam insoles though.UPDATE: I've been wearing these for a couple weeks now. After the first day or two, they broke in and became super comfortable. I wouldn't necessarily wear them walking all day, but for a day at the office, these are my new favorite shoes!

Great shoes, but the black color is not portrayed accurately on the product page. At the time of this review, there are two versions of the black color displayed but only one black option to order from. The differences are subtle, but the devil is in the details.

These shoes look great, but it feels like standing on a rock in the heel section. I purchased these for a convention and was forced to stand in them for long periods. After day one of the convention I had to find a store to purchase insoles which somewhat dulled the discomfort.

Right away I knew I'd love these shoes. They are comfy, and simple, yet I still received many compliments on them. I'd say I have a slightly wider foot than average, but these fit just right for me. I have a normal arch in my foot, and they feel like ease to walk in every day. Good buy overall

GREAT LOOKING SHOE! The contrasting stitching and color is great dressed up or with jeans! Have worn these for about a week and the leather doses wrinkle, scratch or mar easily but I just brush it out with a shoe brush when needed. Gave it 5 stars based on the style alone. I really like the look in the coffee color and they are comfortable. They did run a little large for me but still wearable.
