USED-GOOD
Considering this asks about warmth, thickness, sheerness ill rate a 1 for warnth as its NOT WARM AT ALL! thickness is a 6 layer PCB which is EXACLTY what you want or more for ram overclocking PERIOD to have less interference that way, sheerness well, its a nice looking board so i give 5 stars there as for the board itself, easy to work with, has clear cmos jumper in the HARDEST PLACE ive ever had to get to (besides the b450I gaming plus ac which was in between the wifi module at the rear i.o.) to solve this issue i took out a reset button from an old case ill never use again and installed that onto the cmos jumper so i can clear the bios if i need to as i DONT want or wish to remove my vertical mounted gpu if that time comes! also has EZ debug leds which will easy help you figure out what the issue is rather its ram, cpu, video etc, (notes to consider when overclocking ram sometimes youll push Fclk to far and itll say its the cpu which is correct as your ram can do what your asking but the CPU cant keep up). has wifi 6, 2 m.2 slots 1 gen 4 1 gen3, (if your not using a gen 4 ssd you WILL NOT notice any differences whatsoever! Has more than enough fan headers to which i would have rather had 5 HYBRID headers (pwn, pump,dc headers) rather than 8 headers all together (1 cpu 4pin 1 pump 4pin, 6 system header) for some aio/water pumps it wont matter what header you use but for some it does as some are PWM only OR DC ONLY, so this will sometimes matter but its not to big of a deal. the VRM on this board for what this board is shooting towards (audience) is EXTREMELY WELL DONE! has more than enough to run even a 16 core chip (if overclocking this chip id run a fan on the vrm as i would ANY board for that matter) but for most getting this board a 3600, 5600x even OVERCLOCKING these chips wont be a problem for this board its VERY WELL BUILT! ram support on this thing is by far better than its bigger brother or should i say WIMPY SISTER? the x570 gaming edge wifi (vrm GARBAGE, ram overclocking (i got the same results on this board as i did with my others but was easier done on the b550 and less prone to overheating issues on the VRM) on the x570 version running the EXACT same EVERYTHING i am now i hit 80c on the VRM alone to where as this board hasnt seen over 38c. need i say more on that matter? if your looking for a used board from amazon to which your unsure because it states used-good in my experiences if it has the original box included (most the time not always) its going to have all the extra goodies that comes with it and ive never had scratche on anything ive bought used good condition as well as ive been able to register for a warranty on the manufactures website. conclusion as you can see in the pics this board is running fine with no thermal issues, no hiccups, even the bios it shipped with works for a 5600x out the box, i will say that i would only update to PATCH C bios and not use the beta version on MSI website as its not stable at all and locks out FCLK 2000 all together! LOOKING for a great board? THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT!!!!

Great Quality Motherboard
Motherboard was easy to install and worked out of the box easily. One thing to note is that despite the fact that I have been told that the motherboard would not post with a 5000 series Ryzen CPU without a bios update, it did in fact successfully boot into Windows without a bios update although the RAM light on the board was lit up the entire time and the bios GUI was really sluggish. Once I updated the bios through the bios interface (not the bios flash button), both issues were resolved and my system runs perfectly. The built in Bluetooth works great, and I get about a 25 foot range with my earbuds before the signal starts cutting out. This is much better than the Bluetooth on the PCIe Wi-Fi card that I had before, which had a much less reliable signal. The Wi-Fi also works without any issues. The sound card on the board is also good quality, and using the Realtek Audio Console, you can make further adjustments with the equalizer to fine tune the sound depending on your headphones/earbuds. Also, the built in IO shield made installing the board much easier than my prior board which came with a stencil IO shield that was a bit frustrating to get lined up properly. Overall, this is probably best value B550 board you can get from MSI, especially if you can snag it during a sale or with a promotion from MSI.

Great Motherboard and Easy to Install
I bought this motherboard for my new build to house a Ryzen 7 5800x and RTX 3080. Looking at what I wanted in my build, this motherboard marked everything off my checklist. It supports PCIe 4.0, supports nvme 4.0, has an additional nvme 3.0 slot, has a front usb-c header, and has high tier VRMs. The directions were very easy to understand and get everything installed. The bios are extremely easy to work with and it already came with updated bios that supports the new Ryzen 5000. It does have a bios flashback which can update bios without a cpu installed. One of the things I noticed and appreciated was the on-board debugging led. This lets you know if your motherboard sees an issue with any of your components. This was especially useful when I was overclocking my RAM and saw that it was detecting a problem, which updating the bios fixed. All said and done, I am really glad I chose this motherboard since it comes with some many features at a good price.

Best motherboard when on sale well below retail price range.
My Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU Cooler: AMD Wraith Max Thermal Compound: ARCTIC MX-4 2019 Edition Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Storage: Crucial P5 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Video Card: Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT NITRO+ Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Dark TG Pros: I had originally planned on getting a Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC for $170 +TAX but this MB went on sale for $160 +TAX with nice Steam Promo's from MSI, so I got this instead as the Gigabyte MB has a lot of reports of USB 2.0 slots not working with the company having no plans of fixing the problem in sight. MSI seems to have better customer support and also has better RGB Software and wireless/BT hardware built into this MB with Bluetooth 5.1 & Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200, so the decision was a no brainer. The board is heavy over all and the 6 layer PCB/Heat sinks are THICC just the way I like it. Let me know right away that my purchase was something of high quality. My PC build went together fast and easy with no problems, no need to update the bios out the gate to get my Ryzen 5 3600 working and Windows 10 running. The 4.0 PCIE Slot speed is something I'm not sure of with my Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT NITRO+ but it works well together and I hope with future GPU releases and upgrades I will see the full potential of this slot. Cons: Low count of USB ports. Needs 2-4 more 2.0/3.2 gen 1 ports, the Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC has 12 USB ports even if they don't all work. The 2nd M.2 Slot is only NVME and shares bandwidth with the PCIE 3.0 Slots, I wished it shared and disabled 2 of 6 the onboard Sata ports instead. You'll need to choose your M.2 SSD and add-on card wisely. Only one M.2 Shield Frozr, really MSI? Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO AC has 2, so should you.

Nice board with a few issues
I would like to let you know about some issues I've had with this board. I will change the review if there's any update. The board was okay while it worked, but then the troubles started. First I bought a 3000 memory from the list of compatible memories. It would only run at 2400. Maybe it was a problem with the memory, and anyway it worked so too much trouble to switch memory modules. Then, after 4 months, the WiFi quit. Update: WiFi problem solved after own research - it was a driver configuration problem, a known bug. A full Windows restore solved it. Still, customer service was not very helpful, and besides repeating some generic scripts, did not offer any meaningful help. I bumped the rating to 4 stars, but I am still not happy with the difficulty in integrating and debugging the system, and with it not being fully compatible with "approved" memory. I have built many computers and this was my first PC4 build. They seem much more sensitive than PC3 computers. My final conclusion remains the same: do not use this product where reliability and dependability are important.

An awesome gaming motherboard.
The motherboard came with a, book! A real book to thumb thru. Very detailed instructions. The MB was easy to install. Very gorgeous board. The LED's are perfect luminosity. I does lack on USB ports but for the price point it worked well. I installed my Ryzen 7 5800X3D and it recognized it without having to upgrade my bios. It gave me extra room for my evga Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 ftw3 than my last motherboard. It has enough inputs for all my 6 fans. I am extremely happy with this motherboard.

Great Board for Zen 3 and PCIe 4.0
I bought this board as a part of my new build to pair with an AMD 5600x and 3080. I chose it for a few reasons: Included WiFi, B550 so it supports NVMe drives with PCIE 4.0 (including a heatsink), as well as, most importantly, a BIOs flash button. The BIOs flash button allowed me to use a USB drive to update the BIOs to support my 5600x without the need for a previous CPU. It worked flawlessly and the entire process was pretty quick. I simply plugged in the USB drive with the BIOs update, and then pressed the BIOs flash button. On top of all that, the board has nicely placed jumpers for easy cable management and is very aesthetically pleasing. Would definitely recommend if you need to use PCIe 4.0 or are building a new PC without a previous CPU to update your BIOs. If you don't need PCIe 4.0 or are using an older CPU (so you won't need the BIOs flash) this is still a solid mobo, but you can almost definitely get something cheaper elsewhere.

One of the best B550 motherboards under $200!
I was initially looking to pickup either this motherboard or the GIGABYTE B550 AORUS Master based on the VRM performance evaluated by Hardware Unboxed and when it came on sale for $160 it became a no-brainer. It has all the features you would need in a B550 board like great VRM performance, BIOS flashback, WIFI-6, 2.5 Gbps Ethernet, easy to navigate BIOS at an amazing price point. The BIOS flashback is super convenient as I'm jumping to a Ryzen 5600x without a previous AM4 processor, just keep in mind you need a basic flash drive formatted in FAT32 in order to flash your BIOS. I'm not a huge fan of RGB so the black/silver motif with minimal RGB lighting is a huge plus in my book and goes great with the rest of my build (see below). Now just waiting patiently for a RTX 30 series or RX 6000 series graphics card and this build will finally be complete! Build Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Motherboard: MSI MPG Gaming Edge WIFI CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S Chromax Black Memory: Crucial Ballistix 4x16GB DDR4 3200MHz (Rev E) Storage: WD Black SN750 NVME SSD GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 OC (from a previous build, to be replaced once GPU stock is no longer ridiculous) PSU: Seasonic Focus 650W 80+ Gold Case: Fractal Meshify C
