This is fun and it works! It is similar to Vaseline in texture, but not exactly, so it does not sit on top of your lips as do some waxy lip balms, but soaks in and moisturizes. We love the nostalgic cute tin, the light rose fragrance, the sweet subtle color, all very romantic and Victorian . . . this is a great gift for Austen fans and anyone Romantic. We kept one and couldn't resist gifting the other two. They were very well-received, as something unusual, useful, and visually appealing. : -) FYI: It does not have a taste/flavor.

Im a die hard fan of burts bees lip butters (theyre in tins a little smaller than these), I HATE chapsticks. not necessarily the brand but ones that comes in tubes. they tend to dry out my lips more than anything else and i have very dry skin. so i will be comparing the burts bees against this one how often am i applying?/longevity of product the burts bees one i really only have to apply maybe once or twice a day-and the tin lasts forever, this one i apply maybe 4X a day and I am fine with that. texture, looks, scent burts bees is firm, chunky, thick and creamy almost like a very dense smushed up chapstick mixed with a bit of vaseline. this one is also thick and creamy but more greasy, and more like vaseline? shiny and kind of opaque. DOES not feel greasy on the lips!! looks like lipgloss!! smells very good too not too strong quality i think it really does its job and moisturizes. It hasn’t broken me out but i don’t use it anywhere else besides my lips. i tend to breakout using greasy products on my face so i probably won’t do so unless i have a dry patch. i think this would work well for it! I love it comes with 3 for such a good price. hopefully these will last me a while:) I think they might

So to be honest I bought these because I am a sucker for metal tins. I just really like quaint packaging and this salve coming in an old school steel tin just won me over. I wanted the stuff because I have really chapped lips and Aquaphor just wasn't doing it for me. This salve smells amazing and works really well for me. I do apply it regularly, as much as I did Aquaphor, but it just works really well keeping my lips moist. My lips are no longer chapped. I also find it has many uses, its not antibiotic, but I have used it on minor cuts to help keep them from drying out and keeping them fairly supple, like small cuts in the finger tips. I have used it on dry skin and in a pinch I have even put it in my hair as a stand in for pomade. Maybe its not intended for that, but It works and smells great. I will definitely be buying more.

i mainly use these as a lip treatment, and i am extremely picky. for the past year, the only thing i’ve used on my lips is the vaseline lip butter, so i’m already very comfortable with petroleum jelly as a main ingredient and that general vibe. when i first opened these, i noticed they’re a tiny bit thinner than the vaseline lip butter, which made me nervous — i like my lip products to stick around. imagine my delight when i realized these actually last even LONGER. like… excuse me?? incredible. the lavender is my absolute favorite (soft, calming, not shouty), but all three are lovely. i also use them on my cuticles and hands, and somehow they manage to be deeply moisturizing without feeling greasy at all. it’s witchcraft. gentle, cozy witchcraft. important note: i’m allergic to beeswax, so i usually only use vegan formulas. these do contain lanolin (from sheep’s wool), which i personally feel okay about — i’ve used lanolin a lot in a balm i make myself and associate it strongly with comfort and healing. zero irritation for me. also: as someone on the spectrum, the texture is extremely stimmy in the best way. i cannot stop rubbing my fingers together after applying it. it’s soothing, grounding, and slightly hilarious how pleased it makes my brain. these have officially joined my daily care rituals, and i will 100% be repurchasing. highly recommend if you like soft, comforting little luxuries that quietly improve your day. 💙

Excellent product

These little tins are just full of good stuff for chapped lips, rough elbows, and anywhere that needs extra protection. The scent is pleasant and not overpowering. Only one little caveat: the tins can be a bit hard to open if your hands are slippery with lotion!

I love the smell and it feels good on my lips. It’s a bit softer than lip balms I’ve used before, I have to be careful not to pick up a big blob of it when I use it. The only problem I had was the tin was really hard to open, sometimes the lid just wouldn’t budge. I finally had to sand the paint off of the edges of the tin. Problem solved.

I love the Rosebud Salve by Smith's. I ordered these to experience the variety. The consistency is thinner than Rosebud Salve. The worst part is the Sukura Rose tin is very hard to open. Need utensils and strong grip to get it open. The taste is not that good either. I keep these salves in the refrigerator to prevent it from becoming thinner. I don't need to do that with Rosebud's. I keep one in my purse. I had started a return but decided not go through with it because I like having the variety of scents. But the worst part of this product is the difficulty opening that one tin. All the others open well.
