I like everything about this candy thermometer except the clip that holds it to the vessel in which you have the oil. If the vessel in which you are frying is not deep enough, then the probe will tend to move from an upright position and tilt one way or another.

I received this thermometer and right away and decided to make peanut brittle. It stayed in place on the pot very nicely and was easy to see while the candy cooked. I did watch the temp and used the thread method dropped from a spoon to just get an idea about the temp guage. I cooked the candy on a med temp and when I tested for the candy thread, it was about 6 notches away from the temp it shoud read. Overall, I am pleased with this termometer. I recommend it to customers that would like to purchase it.

I was in the process of heating oil today (Thanksgiving) to deep fry a turkey. I keep watching this thermometer and wondered what was taking so long for my oil to get up to temp. I opened the lid and oil was bubbling. Took a meat thermometer and oil was 300 degrees. This thermometer said 75 degrees. Needless to say it went in the trash. Will be looking for something else. Junk not recommended.

Helped make the best fried empanadas!

This thermometer was too flimsy to use . The clip would not hold tight enough to keep the thermometer in place. Not worth the effort, when better choices are available.

Fait bien le travail et assez précis

Ahora me funciona muy bien, solo cabe mencionar unos errores cuando recibí el producto, lo primero es cuando lo abrí del paquete no esta calibrada a los 0° tuve que usar mi termómetro viejo para poder igualar la temperatura al nuevo, segundo una de las cosas que estoy algo satisfecho es que se le mete aceite adentro como se ve en la imagen
