Perfect Kitchen Knives
I love these. This is such a great set and for the price - they are a steal (I got them when they were around $20 I believe - but even at $30ish, I believe they are a good value - the price on these seems to fluctuate so I would keep an eye on it if you want to snag them for less) They wash extremely well in the dishwasher, they are super sharp and the variety is a perfect set for a starter set. I had a small 3 knife set I bought a couple years ago that wasn't that great when I bought it, but had a chef's knife and a serrated blade and a small pairing type blade and it worked for my needs. But I moved into my new apartment last year and that small set of 3 knives just wasn't working as well with me doing more prep and cooking for myself at home. This set gives me enough variety, and enough pieces to do everything I need to do and never come up empty when I need to grab a knife. It has everything I need and nothing I don't. The covers are very nice also just for safety and keeping the knives sharp. I keep them in their covers in a jar on my counter so they are in easy reach when I am cooking and it is a fun little thing on my counter to have basically a vase full of colorful knives out lol. They definitely feel like quality knives and I am going to keep them in as good of condition as I can to ensure they last me a good long while because I like them so much. Really don't have a single bad thing to say about them - unless you count "please for the love of god learn how to curl your fingers like a claw when cutting things so you don't slice off any of your fingers!" lol - which I did not say, but my best friend did - about 10 minutes before I nicked myself exactly like she said I would lol. So yeah - they do what they say and they are very sharp, even after several months of use now - so make sure to look up proper knife skills lol.

Great set of knives for any kitchen.
I really like these knives. I do a lot of cooking, I enjoy it. I took a few cooking classes with some pros when I worked as a manager at a large chain restaurant that has good quality food & I discovered that to me preparing a large gourmet meal is relaxing & rewarding, especially if it's for friends & family. It does mess up your "groove" though when you are trying to chop, slice, etc. with dull, badly handled knives. At the restaurant we used great knives & they were kept sharp. I loved them, but for some reason I never invested in a good set for myself at home. My knives weren't bad, & I sharpened them regularly, but I think my continue use of them was mostly sentimental. The knives I use were (some still are) my mom's & she received them as as wedding gift. They were expensive, nice knives, but they have aged & it's hard to keep them sharp now. So, after that story that no one really needed to hear, lol, I'll tell you about the Cuisinart set. Even though I mentioned investing in a nice set of knives, these definitely weren't not priced that way. In fact, the price almost deterred me at 1st; I thought good knives could not be that cheap, but I think our brains in the US have been trained to think anything good must be expensive & it's just not always true. I like that these are colored; I can quickly grab the knife I want from the larger ones based on color. Some ppl might want them uniform if they keep them out on display, but mine are in a drawer. They are all sharp, I tested them all when I received them after reading a few reviews that said some were dull. They've cut through everything I've used them on beautifully, raw chicken, bread, lots of melons & pineapple, etc. I like having covers so they can't get beat up & dulled when storing. I used a set similar to these at my sister's & asked where she got them. She sent me the link but they aren't available anymore. I found these & I think they are actually better. I think whether you do a light amount of cooking, or cook larger meals almost daily, like me, you'll like these. There's a knife for everything. They sit very nicely in your hand & have good weight to them.

Best Knives I've Ever Owned- Take Care Of Them & Cut With Ease!
When my husband stated that we needed some new knives,I knew that getting new knives would be a great gift to surprise him with. But what knives would I choose? That was the problem, since I've never been one to spend a lot of money on knives, generally just buying and using what I could find at an affordable price. I first checked Ebay and found these knives (the bright set) as an auction, that was priced quite well, but with a high shipping rate. I quickly came here (Amazon) to see how much they were going for and the options available. While the auction on Ebay was new, in a damaged box and was currently at an almost $12 bid, with another $10 for shipping, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Amazon's price was only $16.95, a savings of 66% and cheaper than Ebay's price for a new set. All this sounded good, but the bright colors were not what my husband nor I would prefer. Then I noticed another set of knives on this listing and was excited to see the beautiful "jewel" tones, that would go much better with our kitchen and personal style. I was in knife L.O.V.E. and began pouring over the reviews to make sure they were the "one". Now in between these reviews, I began to check all over Amazon for other knife sets that had 4-5 star reviews. Boy was I in for a lesson on the cost of knives! Seeing the prices $500 and $1,000+, convinced me that I was a real novice in buying knives and that I would need something affordable and durable. After many, many, reviews later, I continued to come back to the Cuisinart 12 Piece Knife Set (in Jewel). So I gave in, ordered them and two days later was greeted with the BEST knives I have ever owned! I quickly took them out of the box and began effortlessly cutting an orange from my fruit bowl, forgetting who I bought them for. Yes, I bought them for my husband and he says they are great and agrees they're the best we've ever owned, but seriously, I bought them for me too! I now use them on a daily basis and they cut anything I need with ease. CARE- I only hand wash these, so I can protect the finish, as well as the blade for future use. It doesn't take much time at all to hand wash them and I love that they can be easily stored in blade guards! NOTE- I have used expensive knives that my friends own and can honestly say that while their knives seem a little sharper than these, for the price, I would buy these all over again than pay hundreds of dollars for one slightly sharper knife.

Mahvelous, Simply Mahvelous Dahling
I was looking for a set of knives. We were tired of using double butter knives and plastic knives from the Chinese takeout. So after much searching on Amazon I spotted these bad boys. But honestly the color is what drew me in. The price is what kept me around. And the reviews are what made me buy it. It being the set. So just to set things straight you get six knives and six covers for each knife. Hence the 12 pieces advertised in the description and on the box. I immediately used the smallest blue knife while preparing a sandwich for my boyfriend. You're basic ham and Munster cheese on wheat bread – I don't eat ham because I am vegan but you do what you Gotta do when you are looking out for your sick loved one. AnyWho, this knife cut through the sandwich like a hot knife through butter. Quick and easy with no lag time. There was no jagged or torn edges on the bread – which means the knife is dull. Later on that night while making myself dinner I had the opportunity to use the chefs knife – I called the chefs knife the red one but it might be something different – to cut an assortment of vegetables. I was very impressed with how the knife was able to mince up two cloves of garlic with no issue whatsoever. The bread knife – yellow – cut through about 8 ciabatta rolls beautifully. My brother-in-law used the purple knife with the "teeth" to cut up a piece of frozen steak. I do not know if this was the correct life for this job but again it did the job beautifully. We are not master chefs, obviously. So maybe we use the wrong knife for the wrong job, but nonetheless these knives were beautiful. I even took the green one and tested it out on a thick piece of cardboard. The box from Amazon. Chopped through that box like WHOA WHOA DOGGY. The bottom of the knife – the part you would cut your food with is not colored .you can see the stainless steel. I personally like that because I know that when I cut my food and when I sharpen the knife there will be very little chance of "paint chips". We have this really cheap frying pan and when my brother in law make scrambled eggs it's always "seasoned" with the nonstick coating. This is why I have not use that pan in a very long time. This is also what I blame for his behavior. I believe The nonstick chunks are just drying The nonstick chunks are eating his brain. When all is said and done everything about this knife set is beautiful. The price, the look, the colors, the sharpness, etc. if you are in the market for an affordable sat look no further. I mean obviously you get what you pay for so I doubt these are going to last me a long time but for the foreseeable future they kick a lot of a55

Be VERY artful!
Don’t be fooled by the inexpensive price for these knives. They seem of good quality and are VERY sharp! I was dicing tomatillos for chili today. I have cut myself numerous times while cutting food and am very careful not to cut near my hand. The knife I was using barely even touched me and put a small cut in my right index finger. I put a bandage on that f8nger,then started to cut the next tomatillo. Again, I barely even touched my thumb on my left hand, These knives slice through tomatoes with ease, too. That’s one of the hardest foods to cut without crushing them. But, again, these knives barely have to touch something to cut through it with ease.
