Works as well as the name brand
This shampoo has a nice, thick consistency...It's not thin, watery or runny. Lathers really well and it works great on oily scalp and hair. It has a pleasant fragrance...not medicinal smelling. Excellent value. I'll definitely be buying this shampoo again.

Brand it not effective and poor quality
After using this brand my hair felt stripped and dry-but not in a good way. The smell is not inviting and the quality is poor. I don’t think it helped my scalp with itching at all, in fact, it feels like I need to wash my hair again after it’s dry.

Salicylic Acid Shampoo is frequently hard to find at the ...
Salicylic Acid Shampoo is frequently hard to find at the local drugstore or "big box". And when it's on the shelf, it's often very pricey. Have ordered this product several times now. Far easier to order it from Amazon than keep shopping for a comp at the local drugstore. And this formula has been as effective as any other brand I've tried.

Great shampoo for oily, dandruff prone heads
Salicylic acid shampoo just works, period. Unfortunately, it can be rather expensive! I stumbled upon this brand while researching for a common big store bought one that passes the $20 mark. This one has a nice scent, doesn't over dry my scalp and really clears up and kind of flakes.

Works as advertised
I use this on a regular basis and it works like other brands but the value is great.

great
I have well water at home. It's gross. It leaves my skin slippery and disgusting. This stuff, however, somehow manages to negate that. I get some sort of crazy clean rough-skin feeling after using this. If you use well water and you hate that slippery feeling, try this stuff. It's awesome.

Like salicylic acid shampoos, but this one is a no go
As I said, I have found salicylic acid effective for my seborrheic dermatitis, and couldn't believe the price on this shampoo. I have now tried it twice and do not like it at all. It is very difficult to wash out of your hair and leaves a kind of residue which makes your hair feel "oily" when it isn't. I did not like this feeling at all and rewashed it and the same thing happened again. Then I tried the brand I use, Selsun Blue Naturals with salicylic acid, and my hair cleaned out and felt fresh. Maybe I am the only one with this experience but wanted people to know what I went through with this brand.

Not for me
I turned to this product because I couldn’t find Neutragena’s T-sal anymore. This didn’t work for me. I have sebhoric dermatitis and this formula made my skin worse. It still was better than not having anything at all though. I will leave a disclaimer though that just because this formula didn’t work for me doesn’t mean it won’t help you. I would just recommend talking to your doctor about options if you are choosing a product because of a skin condition
