Good book, however I do not understand why the answers to the Applying the Concept and Key Terms Review sections are not included. This would make the book a lot ore useful.

This has a lot of good information and was in good condition.

This newest edition features numerous new and positive changes from the first edition. For instance, this newest version digs more deeply into issues of ethics. Likewise, there are updated and new case studies (thirteen in total).In addition to these changes, professors will find a greater focus on diversity and inclusion throughout the text as a whole.Now, if you are not familiar with the first edition of this text, do know that this is perfect for an undergraduate introductory class. The text uses bright colored fonts, bright colored exhibits, and color photographs to intrigue the new student and to prevent reader-fatigue.The language is kept entirely accessible to all students (this text could even be employed at the community college level). Likewise, there is an effort to connect with younger people ... this resonates in references to Twitter, Airbnb, Apple, Nike, etc. There is a very loud and deliberate push to attempt to engage those who might need a little extra push to remain focused. And, many professor know, this is sometimes necessary at the introductory level.Weighing the new updates as well as the text's deep desire to connect with students, I think this is a strong choice for any introductory class. Professors who teach HR should check this out ... it may be a very nice match for an upcoming class. Highly recommended!

I have to do a bit of everything at my office, so this guide came in handy to me. I say guide but it is definitelya textbook for those in HR/business programs; it details each concept with great examples and thoughtful questions to ponder, study and learn from. It is easy to study on your own too and is a timely way to consider a career change or more responsibility in the age of covid restructuring. I enjoy it and refer to it often.

It challenges with practical experiences to apply your learnings. Everything from: HR management, recruitment, training & development, compensation and organization wellbeing are covered in this manual. Highly recommend, the minute I started to read, I wasn't able to put it down, I self reflected and started to apply how I was personally going to create change within my organization. Provides value for any leader, regardless of the level.
