I purchased this to make jar meals for xmas presents this winter for my relatives up north . I first tested the meats with freeze dried vegetables and the meals came out fine and I have a picky family. This is perfect for hurricanes, camping and snowed in winter storms.

Arrived early and packed well, however while unpacking I saw the label was 75% missing- looks as if in was in water or on a pallet that got over spray from washing nearby- The container was still sealed and waterproof though. Shouldn't have been shipped this way as it make a person wonder about total quality control.

When we have earthquakes, we may have no services for up to a week. If it's bad (not even the BIG one) they may cause enough damage that you can't go into the house safely, or you may be in your car. I really like these freeze dried fruits for snacking.... healthier than chips. I keep the bucket right inside the door with 3 cans of chile. This would get me 3 days well enough. Sometimes floods and earthquakes means we can't get out. It's nice to have a reasonable shelter in place kit.
