Excellent design and performance
This is a very clever design: after steeping the tea for a few minutes, you pour out or drink the first 200ml or so (I like to pour it into a clear tea glass) which then stops the brewing process as the tea infuser is no longer immersed in hot water. IMPORTANT TIP: When adding the hot water you can fill it to near the top but make sure that when you replace the cap and infuser, you press the button while screwing it back into place, otherwise hot water will be forced out of the sides. This way you maximise the amount of hot water and hence tea!

Infuser, but Not Essential
I purchased the Contigo Tea Infuser for all West Loop Thermo Mugs, but it hasn't become an integral part of my tea routine. Pros: Compatible Design: The infuser fits well into my Contigo West Loop Thermo Mug, ensuring a secure fit during use. Decent Quality: The materials seem durable and hold up well to regular use. Easy to Clean: It's relatively easy to clean, which is a plus for convenience. Cons: Limited Use: I find that I rarely use the infuser. Brewing tea directly in the mug seems more convenient and less cumbersome. Not Essential: While it's a nice addition for those who enjoy loose-leaf tea, it's not essential for enjoying tea on the go. Overall, the Contigo Tea Infuser for all West Loop Thermo Mugs is a decent product, but its usefulness depends on personal preferences. For me, brewing tea directly in the mug is simpler and more practical.

Very useful and practical addition to my Contigo Cup
This is a fantastic addition to my Contigo tea and coffee cup. The holes in the side work well not to let loose leaf tea escape too easily. The extra cover means that you can take the infuser out of the cup once the tea is infused. This is a brilliant addition and a well made attachment for my Contigo cup.

Great
This works very well for the Contigo cups and I have enjoyed using it. The metal is not the thickest so you have to be careful not to dent it but otherwise very good

Poor design
Not worth it. It keeps dropping inside the cup. At first I thought it was the what from the hot drinks, but it was the same with cold infusions. Makes it almost useless, and I already thought it was too costly even when I was thinking it would work.

Really not practical - just too big
I tried it twice before packing it up to return... then forgot to post it and missed the deadline so thought I'd give it another go. The first problem is just how snugly the drip guard fits, when trying to pull it off the top comes off the infuser which gets messy if it is full of tea and which also suggests that over time the thread will get damaged so I won't be using the tea guard. The second problem is just how much space this takes in the cup, I love contigo mugs for many reasons but size is certainly a factor, when using the infuser you have to leave 2.5 inches of space above the water level so that water doesn't overflow when you put the lid and infuser on. Of course the size does mean that the tea leaves can circulate which is good for the flavour so it's not all bad. For any English tea drinkers, the idea of putting the hot water in first then adding the tea feels wrong - I am English but drink rooibos tea so can cope. Also rooibos can be over brewed and still be drinkable which is useful as having to dismantle the mug to take out the infuser is a bit of a faff on the go. I'm still not sure how useful this will be for me (I know, should have thought about it more before I bought one!) but going to try and make sure I use it as its a lot of money to waste on something to leave it in a drawer. You never know, give it a few months and I might love using it!

Wanted to try out Contigo West Loop along with this infuser, purchased both. Didn't like West Loop (prefer to stay with Luxe) but found out that it fits Luxe not tightly but tight enough that you can use it! The infuser by itself is good, I'm happy
