This stuff is awesome!
It worked great for me! Super easy to do with a heat gun or torch/lighter. Shrinks to about 2:1 and seems to be super durable and really comfortable in the hand.

A versatile heat shrink.
Good heat shrink. I use this stuff for all kinds of things, not just fishing rod butts. I've used it on garden tool handles, pick axes, towels, tire irons, fishing net handles, gaffs, etc... it is fairly durable, and has a decent amount of grip. The best thing is, it will protect your hands from slipping. Overall, it's good stuff. It is a bit thin, but for most items it will be fine. This shrink, works pretty good from a medium heat gun. I use my lowest setting to better control the melting effect. Plus I don't want to over heat whatever handle I'm applying it to. As to longevity....no clue really. Most items I have put it on, are still looking fine. I'll update as needed.

Feels great and looks nice!
This shrink wrap gave the rod the grip I was looking for. It also makes it look nice and new again. I had to take the rod butt off to slide the shrink wrap on. I used a heat gun to shrink it down.

Works great in my knife handle, easy to use
recently grabbed a piece of the eTekGo Heat Shrink Tubing (30mm, black) from GREATFISHING, and I’ve been putting it to work on a cool little project. This stuff’s marketed as a versatile, non-slip grip solution for everything from fishing rods to kitchen tools, with a focus on durability and easy application. After using it, here’s my take, laid out like I’m telling a buddy over a campfire—raw, straightforward, and no fluff, leaning on the product details and the experience of turning a knife handle into something grippier. This heat shrink tubing comes in a 1-meter (about 40-inch) length, and I went with the 30mm diameter, which turned out to be perfect for what I needed. I was jazzing up the handle of my Buck 119 knife, aiming to give it a rubberized, grippy overmold to replace the stock phenolic and aluminum setup. Man, this stuff delivered. Once shrunk down, it transformed the handle into something way more comfortable and functional, especially for wet or messy conditions. The grip feels cushioned and non-slip, just like they advertise, which is a game-changer for a knife that might see some blood or water in the field. It’s got that 2:1 shrinkage ratio, so it hugs the handle tight, no loose spots or wrinkles. Applying it was a breeze. The tubing’s made of polyolefin, which is soft, flexible, and shrinks fast when you heat it up. They say it starts shrinking at 60°C and fully sets at 110°C, but I didn’t even bother with a heat gun. I used a propane torch, just waving it around to avoid scorching, and it worked like a charm. The material didn’t burn or degrade, just snugged up perfectly in seconds. Trimming it to fit was no hassle either—cut clean with a utility knife, no fraying or mess. It’s thick and feels tough, like it can take a beating without peeling or cracking. I’ve been using the knife a bunch since, and the grip’s holding strong, no signs of wear yet. The tubing’s marketed for a ton of uses—fishing rods, badminton rackets, selfie sticks, even hammer or axe handles—and I can see why. After how well it worked on my knife, I’m eyeing the leftover 36 inches to slap on my axe and maybe a hammer for extra grip in sloppy conditions. It’s got that RoHS-compliant stamp, so it’s environmentally solid, and the -55°C to 110°C temperature range means it won’t crap out in extreme weather. The black color I got looks sleek and doesn’t scream “tactical” too loud, though they’ve got green, yellow, red, and blue if you want to get flashy. Any gripes? Not really. It’s not some high-tech gadget, just a simple, well-made product that does exactly what it says. The 30mm size was spot-on for my knife, but they’ve got other diameters (20mm up to 45mm) if you need something else. Only thing is, you’ve gotta be careful with heat application to avoid scorching if you’re using a torch like I did, but that’s on the user, not the product. It’s thick enough to feel durable but not so bulky it adds unnecessary weight. For the price, this is a steal. It’s functional, easy to use, and adds a legit upgrade to any handle you stick it on. Whether you’re modding outdoor gear, sports equipment, or just want a grippy handle on your kitchen tongs, this stuff’s a solid bet. It turned my Buck 119 into a whole new beast, and I’m stoked to keep using it on other projects. If you’re looking for a quick way to add a tough, non-slip grip to your gear, this heat shrink tubing gets the job done and then some.

Works great
Tube shrinks up to almost half the original size. Has good grip. Seems to be durable. First used it on my fishing poles. Put it over original grips. Easy to clean. Put it over the deteriorating fiberglass and wooden yard tool handles. Worked great. Now they don’t mess my hands up and grip better. Make sure to be patient with the heat gun when installing. Apply heat evenly and don’t stay in one area to long. It will scorch.

Great Heat Shrink Product
I ordered and use these for custom fishing rods. The value is great and shipping is quick. The consistency and quality of this product is optimal. I have not had any issues with functionality of grip. Application to fishing rods is simple and fits well.

Fish May Not Care but Fishermen Do
I had a fishing rod with a foam grip that was torn and flapping. I bought this heat shrink, glued the foam down with rubber contact cement, slipped the heat shrink over it and torched it tight. It looks new, feels good, and looks modern (rod is 30 years old). I did the fore grip to match. Great outcome.

Great grip for your fishing poles, golf clubs and a few tools laying around
Good stuff. The handle shrink wrap is great. This is my second time ordering this grip shrink tube. I have used it on several of my older fishing poles along with a few other things around here. It's easy to work with and shrinks down and holds. When needed I will order again and recommend.
