Peak Evaporated Full Cream Milk, 13 Fl. Oz. (Pack Of 4)

Love this stuff. Smells good, tastes good. I use it for bread making in it's powder form. I also use it as back up milk in cooking, when it's reconstituted. I've used it to make my own hot chocolate mix. Oh, and it makes EXCELLENT powdered coffee creamer! I drank some that I'd mixed with cold water and was surprised at how good it tasted. I went to the company website and liked what I read about their cows and how they raise them. Quality, no added weird stuff. A little expensive, but worth it, I think. I can't speak to how long it keeps once opened, I've managed to use it all within a couple months of opening it. I even carried some around with me when traveling to use as coffee creamer.

Quality, flavorful product with excellent taste and texture. Worth every penny.

Cans were dented when they arrived!!

The milk is really delicious, but shipping cans in an envelope is not a good idea. Cans arrived dented.

I've purchased this three times now and I have never had an issue with the "spoiling" of the milk. I also remain unconvinced by that sentiment considering this is canned evaporated milk. It really lasts long, the only time it is bound to spoil is after opening (refrigerate it). I grew up using it in tea and oatmeal and it has a distinct irresistible flavor. Apparently the powdered version is popular but I am less fond of using it for the purposes I listed. The only thing I would take issue with here is the price. However, this is the only place I have been able to find it online and it isn't sold in my area, so I am stuck with that.

I love this product! It is delicious. Condensed milk does tend to be delicious just by definition, removing the water and leaving a denser mix of cream and milk sugars. But this product seems to taste particularly rich and the color is downright beautiful. It is a healthy golden orange that I tend to associate with healthy, grass fed cows. I cannot say for sure since I did not grow the cows nor did I research if they are grass-fed but it would seem from the product that they are or at least well attended. Peak is manufactured by a Dutch milk cooperative and their other products are just as rich and delicious. I have taken to mixing this into my protein shakes (small amounts), coffee and desserts. It is a healthy treat and treat it is!

Three out of the 4 cans that I received were dented. They were packaged carefully and the shipping box was not damaged, so the cans were in this condition when shipped. Other buyers noticed same problem. The milk is good, but it's very expensive. The company refunded a portion of my purchase price, but I won't buy again since the price is just a little high for damaged items.
